How did you get your live through to the front? I was going through and under the floor buy may change my mind as to where the battery will go. Split charge is in the post and may fit next week so where/how did you drill or use an existing hole.

Bit tricky to see, but here's where I went through on the passenger side.

Did you drill or have an existing hole down that side? Think my split charge arrives Monday but i cant do anything till after Wednesday as that is when im in Edinburgh so i can get grommets. Doubt the kit has any. Is that small wire the one that goes to the alternator? Dont think i need that on mine as its voltage sensing so aparently just wire into battery.

The hole was already there. There's one on the drivers side also for the accelerator or clutch cable.
Just as well since it would be nigh impossible to drill through. You will need to poke a hole through the the cab insulation.
My extra 2 wires are so that I can measure the actual battery voltage and current. But you are right with your relay you just connect the two batterys together, both with fuses.

Cheers mate ill have a look for that. Is it tucked right up under/behind the glove box?

You need to lift the edge of the rubber flooring and spice your hand up to get to the hole. Best to poke something solid through first

Cheers tee_cee. Ill find it. The kit i ordered has 6M of cable so i could afford to take the long way round

OK. No hole on my Pug like what tee_cee has what i ended up doing was going along the inner wing. Open door and poke wire along and puled out the hole where the drain pipe drops into to wing, you see the top of it in tee_cee's picture. I came up the rubber pipe and nicked a hole out half way up on the top side (Water and electricity, what could go wrong? ) the other end comes out at the top N/S door hinge and just above the connector for the speaker/electric windows etc wires you have a grommet in a hole so i just used that and along under the inner door trip and into the rear. Not all connected yet but should have that done over the weekend.
