Re: Insurance

They all boil my p***. I was over 12 years with Direct line and it went up £5 this year £10 that year even though i never claim and accumulation NCB. One year i did a comparison site and they came in about what i was paying. My renewal never had a premium hike. The next year did as i never did a check. So sod them i just use whoever is the cheapest on compare the meerkat's with teh car, van and the bike when i had it. Whatever happened to customer loyalty? Not one letter asking why i am leaving, come to think about it i phoned to say dont renew and the guy did not even as why then.

My argument exactly..................Multi vehicle policy, " can only drive one at a time" and one vehicle was listed as 33yr old classic car at the time(1000ml policy)............. Did on line quote they said, No that's for new customers introductory offer only............ So hung up, But P'd off I later phoned back, did process, They said " We will contact your old insurer, we deal with it all.... The s*** hit the fan when I said they were my old insurer, Got same story as before and at that I said you have Two choice's..... "let policy run its course let expire and take me back as new customer or F**** ***......... They accepted but only if I paid annually.... I pointed out I already did............ I had 3 weeks left on my policy, But after prior resistance I promptly put 30 yr old car up for sale it was gone in a week................. I never renewed with them..I went with the RAC which was about £30 dearer than they were at finish up..But RAC gave good pro-rota European break down cover.....

I was with the Post Office for good couple years on both my Golfs ............ But they wouldn't/couldn't transfer it to Motor home insurance on van.......... So in a search I went with the old foggy insurance Saga........... Who did the motor home insurance for £165 with 31 day max  Euro cover but unlimited trips and they gave me maximum no claim discount as well on golf if I was to insure it with them.... So I did @ £85 ...(Both are fully comp) and 10,000mls on each policy
Just had renewal in for van @ £162.15, golf has still a month to run............. My only complaint thus far, You have to phone them and go through claim dept to get busted windscreen replaced.... rather than phone glass company , show policy , pay excess....... same script but they handle it.....

(I sold the black golf to raise some cash for van.... the white golf was bought for my ex misses back in 1999 and was basically left lying in a hedge for the last eight yrs, it was resurrected to give me transport... its now 21 yrs old, So age and non turbo D may have bearing on price)

I now every year check every vehicle we have at renewal time..... van, five cars, two bikes , but that also includes fathers, who's as big a problem as the kids when it comes renewal time ....... He's 90 this year..... kids are at least starting to fall into that cheaper zone... if they keep from getting there collar felt

Re: Insurance

This year is the first time in years i have went for the same company as when the renewal came through it only went up by £9. The car and last bike i always go for online comparison sites and get the new customer price. They all tend to show no customer loyalty now so they dont get mine.
