Bonnet release gone ..

333 miles from home .. Headlight lamp blown .. Went to open bonnet and nothing happening.

The lever feels loose but sound like it's gone at the catch end as I can hear it moving under the bonnet.

I'll be fine getting up the road but wondered if anyone has a trick to get the bonnet open?

Re: Bonnet release gone ..

No but funny as mine in my convoy has gone. Luckily its not bolted up proper so i can still pull up with a good yank. I just ordered a tandem pushbike brake cable as it looks like the same nipple for the lever end and plenty long enough to reach the catch.

It'll be a bit of a Faf about..... Long Screw driver and Shine torch through grill and if bonnet release is visible screw driver then comes into play to pop hook to open

Or you go under bumper and same thing again mostly ..try find some sort of access.... Obviously if this works ... secure some wire to release and poke through grill or some access point as a temp measure till repairs made

Sorry .....Not 100% sure where on slam panel it is........ But I did have to replace bulbs couple weeks ago
