Re: Reverse Gear

Not got a clue but found this http://howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=338505

I would have said a cable jumped off but i think there is only two so if 1,3 and 5 is one cable i presume 2,4 and reverse is the other. You getting all the forward gears OK?

Re: Reverse Gear

Then god knows as the last time i looked as i have a lose knob (har, har) i seen no adjustment so best look at the rear of the gearbox while someone is playing with the gears to get a rough idea of what is going on with cables and push roads. Someone mention a missing/broken rod for reverse in that link.

Re: Reverse Gear

i think the reverse one is the thinner 3rd cable that goes to the nearside

I could only see two. Not that i have a problem apart from wobble. Saying that i think i have a selector fork problem with 4rth but that will get looked at when it goes.

Re: Reverse Gear

Hi Frank, it is indeed it seems to follow the thicker cables and then dissappear somewhere to the side of the gearbox. I tried to see what was going on, but I've admitted defeat and am arranging to book the van in at our local tame mechanic. Hopefully it's nothing expensive!
