Yeah gas less if that makes a difference. Doing some more today and my forehead is now throbbing away big_smile  Got rained off so a wee bit to finish tomorrow then order a full face and give my nut a rest before doing my wheel arch.

Re: Welding Goggles

Welding goggles are usually for traditional oxy acetylene welding and don't give enough eye protection against the MIG arc. The full mask protects against UV too. When I've not used one I've ended up looking like the first day of a Greek holiday with a red face!
Welding underneath is hard graft, I only had a bit to do last Sat, but two years ago I welded up my Cit Relay and was underneath for a week.

Re: Welding Goggles

This is what i am up to. This is the back of my bus, see the number plate area?

I am wanting it flush like below

I took the bumpers off and its pretty much rotten under them so patching all that up. Im looking for an old fridge freezer and thinking use a sealant and jut pop rivet as the sides will be hidden under the bumpers and bottom is tucked under van so just a line of weld along the top what will be under the doors when closed. Im just learning to weld so not that good but happy to weld in out of view areas.
