Hi folks,
I have a Scudo jtd on a 55 plate and have the usual lock issues, the central locking works but I don't have a remote for it, is it possible to buy a remote fob and have it "tuned" for the want of a better description, to match the existing system, or do I get an after market remote relay and wire it into the existing wiring harness (there are 5 wires on the front door solenoids so I'm assuming at least one of those is a trigger to operate all of them?
many thanks
Dave

On my 53 plate expert I wanted an additional key fob, but the locksmith I use tried to link a new universal fob to the vans central locking but with no joy. Luckily for me he was able to repair the original remote fob.

I think if the original key / remote is salvageable it can be cloned............ I had my remote key cloned and had the option to have it as a remote key also but chose for usage and cost as a non remote .... So we now have a spare ............. So would think a remote key could be cloned like for like.... But I'm unsure if the non remote key carries any remote type info............... You may be to access the central locking info via the diagnostic port .............. That was possibly one of the options they could try if there was a problem with cloning when inquiring about a second key but of course the would likely incur another charge
