			<description><![CDATA[<p>It is a lot to lose so where we wonder, is it going?<br />Cracked cylinder wall or head or head gasket has to be considered<br />Also the egr and oil coolers could be an issue.</p><br /><p>How is the heater? I had to fit a new core to mine as the old one was full of crap<br />so easy to get trapped air in there <br />Bleeding the system at the thermostat housing and top of the radiator took a few tries to get <br />the air out&#160; too.</p><p>Goodluck with it, let us know how you get on</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>The petrol engine is rare in Europe as well. And it&#039;s not too powerful at 60 HP. But I&#039;m not in a hurry on a slope. I bought my car with the lpg tank in place of the spare wheel (that&#039;s why I always drive with TPMS). The lpg can also be used for interior heating. </p><p>Seat conversion is not easy, the 306 seats having rails far apart. On the off side I have fitted the seat on a pivot plate construction of plywood. Not so fancy as the ones you buy at &gt; 200 Euros but sturdy pivoting around M16 bolt/nut and large washers. I could make some pictures if you&#039;re interested.</p><p>Diagbox is indeed very, very slow. I had one nice working but then I didn&#039;t hear any more switching of the relay and had another. Indeed the least you&#039;d expect is proper reset of faults. That&#039;s why BT/Torque Pro does not fit.</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[In my Abcess]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>It was the 13GB download I bought off Ebay that unpacked to a 20gb file I put on the cloud way back<br />It runs on XP in VM Workstation 15 <br />Alvylad downloaded it and said he couldn&#039;t get it run but it worked for me<br />and better when I upgraded the VM ware.</p><p>There are some limitations due to it not being able to phone home so it may not work via a VIN number<br />but you can input van type manually its good enough for wiring diagrams which I mainly wanted and<br />gives info on most of mechanical and body assemblies. </p><p>Wiring wise, It does ask for an RPO number which i found on the door pillar.<br />Not sure is this is specific to Pugs or all PSA vans have it, if your dispatch has one tell me and the engine type and I&#039;ll see if it works<br />as they&#039;re all essentially the same van albeit with varying engines, I reckon a lot of the info is relevant.<br />Now I&#039;ve worked out how to print the diagrams, I can build my own manual.</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[2 year aniversary]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>the van had a new MOT when I bought it in 2024 and now coming up to its 2nd MOT in my ownership<br />so hoping for no nasty surprises<br />Last year It needed a few small patches on the sills and a drive shaft boot but doesn&#039;t seem to have suffered much in the meantime<br />I&#039;ve only driven about 4000 miles but given it fresh oil and filters recently and it&#039;s running well.<br />The central locking still works but the remote function has packed in. The fob has been tested OK, so its a board fault<br />or something<br />the reverse sensors have stopped bleeping but the camera still works<br />I recently sourced a spare wheel and cradle that will be fitted soon. these were missing when i bought it for some strange reason<br />so I Gooped all the tyres but it&#039;s nice to have spare just in case.<br />Aircon still working which is nice.<br />I fitted new wheel trims to make go faster <img src="https://dispatchexpertscudo.org.uk/forum/plugins/ezbbc/style/smilies/wink.png" alt="wink" />&#160; &#160; as usual the pics flatter it .<br /><span class="postimg"><img src="https://i.postimg.cc/RVfHBM37/070426.jpg" alt="070426.jpg" /></span></p>]]></description>

So I ordered one from aliexpress and it arrived a week later. Very good service too with tracking updates every day and the product seems just as good quality as the original. That same one causes me hassle sometimes, especially for that tiny stretch in Shipley</p><p>Sadly I doubt any other classification is going to get you through. None of these are classified as Car Derived Van which I gather is allowed. Trying to find the filter (Air/Cabin/Fule) change interval<br />Oil filter gets changed just before MOT, but wondering about Fule/Air filters especially given low miles (less than 5k annually)<br />Usually for fuel it is normally every two years on other cars I have had and air /cabin filter has been visual inspection to determine if it needs to (blow both air/cabin with compressed air on each inspection)<br />I am after the &quot;official&quot; schedule of service according to PSA<br />TIA</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Thank you, that&#039;s reassuring to hear - I shall investigate further</p><p>I&#039;ve got a more urgent issue currently which is the footwells turning into a pond. </p><p>Have cleaned out the scuttles but there is so much water absorbed in that foam from the recent rain, I can&#039;t fathom how to get it out and dry given I can barely lift the side of the mat with all the weight. </p><p>Wondering if simply cutting it out in small pieces and starting from bare metal is the best course of action, or if that&#039;s overkill!</p><p>No signs of rust as yet in the areas I can see so it&#039;s possible this is the first time it&#039;s happened to this extent. </p><p>I&#039;ll do a fresh post in case others have input on the matting situation!</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[Putting in new EGR valve 2.0hdi mk1]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>i dont understand re easy to get to the egr valve on 2.0hdi it&#160; is at the left hand upper rear of engine.<br />i have tried the spray in egr cleaner but that didnt seem to make any difference<br />i have a 2000 with a 2.0hdi<br />it had 24k from new how ever<br />ive had variouse problems and still do<br />right from the start it was difficult to start<br />that was the starter motor not quite powerful enough.</p><p>then limp mode, i believe that was the egr valve<br />im close to having an attemp at changing or cleaning it. its very difficult to get at it<br />one fault was<br />the fuel and temp went to full and the engine off red light came on<br />the engine was cutting out but starting its self straight away. this fault damaged the crankshaft rubber i managed to weld the crankshaft back together to get home then<br />i changed that.<br />i also fitted a new crank sensor<br />AND<br />took the auto fuel cut out switch off<br />this is a black unit with a red rubber cap. its meant to cut the fuel supply in an accident<br />i cleaned it and put it back<br />the engine wouldnt start<br />i pushed the middle red bit back down and the engine started fine</p><p>i think the ball bearing can get rusty and the two metal blade contacts can corrode, causing the switch to cut the fuel !</p><p>anyway<br />i renewed the fuel pump relay<br />and stripped out all the wirering between the ECU across the front of the engine to the fuses and relays but found no damaged wires<br />but it kept cutting out until i fitted the new crank sensor/ and or stripped and cleaned the accident fuel cut off valve<br />trouble is i did both at the same time so which was the cause.</p><p>so back to the present<br />van now has just over 40k</p><p>starts spot on<br />orange engine light comes on and goes off when it decides to<br />the light will normally come on if i give it higher revs</p><p>next fault is</p><p>until the revs get up the engine is&#160; sluggish<br />then as it reaches a certain rev range away it goes, just like hitting a power band</p><p>as i said im going to work on van over next few weeks</p><p>first job is egr, i shall do or shall i say attempt to do it from under the van with quarter drive sockets<br />but suggestions after that please<br />im ready to change the timing belt but.just incase any one has had issues re crank shaft and the movement to.micro ajust the timing. as it stands i only have the engine locking tools<br />has any one checked the timing on this engine with out the fancy gauge</p><br /><p>cheers<br />mick</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Just had a very similar issue with mine.</p><p>Rear drivers indicator has been intermittently giving me problems for a while and at the last MOT I spotted the earth was corroded. When I looked at it last week there was very little of the earth left in the connector. I went with soldering a flying lead to the track and then fixing it under the bolt that holds the cluster in place. I probably ought to go have a look at the passenger side as well as I assume it will be doing the same thing (but it&#039;s not giving me any problems currently.</p><p>I like the idea of drilling a rivet out though as I&#039;m a teeny bit concerned that the solder might not hold.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>hey folks, well i have started to take some things out of my van in preparation of selling it. i know, its sad. the alternator still is not fixed on it after a year and a half. its a job i will be doing shortly as well as giving it a full MOT before being sold. i do have another alternator that i will be fitting. its pretty sad but like i say, i have not needed to use the van in over a year. it is as it was in the last photo.. still only half built camper wise. pretty much all insulation apart from all but one door. if anyone is interested in the van on here, let me know as i would rather offer it to a forum member, keeping on the forum. it is an absolutely rust free van. all suspension components, the complete underside of the van, everything has been stripped off and all cleaned and repainted. the van has had extensive cavity rust proofing done to it well above what it had when new. any common rust point has been quite literally cleaned out, de-rusted, re painted and completely sealed up to prevent any more water getting into it. this van will last someone YEARS should they want it for a camper. i did the work with the intention to never sell it so it would last me years. <br />we literally have a whole 7.5 ton lorry as a motorhome along with a MWB iveco daily which are both somewhat kitted out as campers (or mobile mansion for the 7.5 tonner)</p><p>im not sure what my van is worth. with 12 months MOT i would like a higher than average asking price with all the future proofing i have done to it. as you can see from my last posts, nothing was bodged. everything was done to a &quot;autisticly&quot; high standard. the van comes with air conditioning, and it comes with a &quot;high quality Chinese&quot; diesel heater fitted (its not a copy of a copy one.. its pretty good! i did my research on it) it will have the roof rack which is unbelievably handy and insanely strong. better than any other roof rack i have seen on one of these vans. dont forget also it has probably the best headlights one of these vans has ever had. they are unreal how good they are.</p><p>please look through this thread, and also check my youtube videos of the work i have done. i hope i have done it proud.</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3zYtbWSjRE&amp;list=PLq_C4DcbSFgILFitaYNBnZSO2ISNI3vhn" rel="nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3zYtbW … O2ISNI3vhn</a></p>]]></description>

It changes fine between legs and front.</p><p>I&#039;ve taken the lower dash off and checked the wire going from the control to the mechanism and the mechanism seem to work. </p><p>Does anyone have any tips or do I have to remove the blower unit totally and check the flap?</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Changed battery and voila, it started. </p><p>Took her to the repair shop to have some other things fixed and when they tried to start it taking it out of the garage, it wouldn&#039;t start again. Starter seems to work just fine when it works, but somehow either something is draining the battery or the engine is not grounded enough.</p><p>I took the battery to ground cable off and brushed everything at the same time I changed the battery, so I can&#039;t say if it was the battery or the grounding. </p><p>But as it came back afterwards, it probably wasn&#039;t any of them.</p><p>The mechanics gonna take a look at it.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Changed wheel cylinders. Was quite an easy task. Found loads of them at auto doc. </p><p>They sit with two 10mm nuts. Break pipe connects with an 11mm nut. Be sure to clean them nuts properly with a wire brush and cleaning spray/rust remover before trying to move them. Also make sure your break pipe doesn’t move with the nut. (I missed this but seemed to be able to bend them back)</p><p>Remove old, mount new et voila.</p>]]></description>

I have a Kodiaq that i also drive and that beeps and pings non stop for any reason it wants.<br />Just seem strange being in the van that does nothing. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>As far as I can see on my 1.6hdi the rubber hose is just an extra water drain. The flap just stops it sucking in with air flow, and any water can just drip out the bottom.</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[Oil in my Coolant / oil Cooler air leak test]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>In my former van I had oil bubbling up to my expansion tank and in my case it was the oil cooler. I replaced it and it was fine since. But by god did it clog things up. I flushed out the coolant about 7 times and it still had residue.</p><p>My heater matrix never worked well since - only getting warm air if the engine was at decent revs</p><p>The only places the coolant gets close to the oil is like you say the oil cooler and the head gasket. Obviously we have to hope it&#039;s not the latter but without evidence of an issue with the oil cooler I can&#039;t think of another possibility</p><p>Are you losing oil over time?</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>If all you want is to get fault codes then the Delphi knock offs will do that<br />the VCI is available on AliExpress and they usually come with knock off software<br />that worked on mine and my neighbours Audi TT<br />It also let me cycle the fuel pump and coolant fan on the Expert<br />Lexia should allow you to get further &#039;under the hood&#039; but having to install VMware and Windows XP<br />( windows XP? FFS!) to use it was a bit of PITA.<br />The may be some basic BT/USB VCIs that will allow you to do this for all I know.<br />Hondas PGM/FI system is great I can get fault codes with paper clip!.<br />I have a dedicated laptop for all my car and bike OBD stuff but these modern units with all in one VCI adapter, <br />screen and buttons are obviously very convenient to use.</p><p>IF THEY WORK !<br />Before buying I suggest you make sure there is a cast iron returns process just in case. </p><p>As for real time monitoring, there are already plug in modules on the market for this<br />but as above, buyer beware.</p><p>Most modern vehicles have OBD/OBD2 but regulations only seem to insist on a basic comms layer<br />and anything beyond that can be tricky to get at without substantial expenditure</p>]]></description>
