So any suggestions for a temporary fix for the heater?

When the van gets warmed up the air coming out is like a dull warm, coolant is topped up but still same.

Any suggestions to fix or temporary heat?

Thanks

Hello and welcome James,  smile

Well your speedo and heater issues are virtually standard "features".  You will find many posts on both if you search.  Count yourself lucky that the other gauges ore ok.  smile  My own speedo intermittently stops but is usually working again next start up so I haven't bothered investigating.

The blowers are renown for being problematic.  Not having ac I have no idea how normal heating and ac are handled either electrically or air delivery at the blower end.    Totaly independent or using the same wireing and air pipes.  The resister unit thingy on the blower is prone to fail.  Is it blowing but not hot?  The fact that it works on ac might point to controls rather than the blower itself.  The slider controls are very flimsy and it could be they just need a clean.  Very easy to break though so careful with them.

Not been too many complaints about windows I don't think.  Electric or manual?  Last time I had that (in a different vehicle), I fixed it with a some elastic cord in a loop from the winder to the mirror adjuster.

Wing mirror not working!   Are you perhaps a vampire?  wink    If its manual it will be the cables.  They are quite intricately designed and fascinating to watch their action when you get them out.  Like something from  robots wrist.  Very awkward to refit though.  If electric, check fuses or for shorts I suppose.

I have had knocking from the rear on mine which I struggled to track down.  It happened mostly on speed bumps.  At first I thought it was my fridge bouncing.  Turned out it was exhaust hitting on underside of the bumper.  The bumper spread the noise right across the back end making it difficult to pin point.  Fixed by replacing the rubber doughnut mountings.  They looked ok but must have lost some of their resistance.

Check out the search though.  It is a bit clunky but should turn up some previous posts that may help.

? Oat, looking at it the Speedo has being out before as the vents next to it are damage and screws missing along with damage to the Speedo unit. I am guessing heater control I looked today but how do you take the pane out to clean I couldn’t work it out…?
I will look at the window and mirror tomorrow evening along with the exhaust in case that the issue.

I do have a list of issues to deal with along with sloppy gear selection and brake wear light coming on and binding sound from rear when breaking.
