Thank you - I'll give them a buzz (I broke the window in mine & it's impossible to replace so it has to be the entire door instead)

Hi
Looking for a passenger side, sliding side door, (preferably with a window in it but beggars & choosers) in/near Worcestershire/Gloucestershire/Herefordshire for a Mk 1 Dispatch - thank you smile

Not sure exactly what original ones are like.  Eg mine where fitted at new but not by manufacturer.  Wondering if it was a big converter that did yours, did they fit their own windows?  When looking for a replacement I was surprised by the variety out there.

If it looks to have a screwed in frame, and you find identical replacement it should be a simple swap.  My problem was that my frames were not only custom made by converter, but also held curved glass.  I ended up replacing the door with a different window already fitted.

They are standard manufacturer windows on mine. May be a bonded metal frame on the outside of the glass that may prove to be too difficult to remove so my next plan is finding a door with the window if I can't fix it smile

Personally i would not want that much glass. Two back doors and sliding doors are enough. I would get a sheet of steel and cover it up then probably do the other side also. BTW tee_cee. Great wee site for all kinds of seals

I mean, they're factory fitted. I'm not gonna cover them in steel, it'll look like shite. Personally I like having windows & so do the thousands of people who cut windows into their vans. Thanks for the seals link - will come in handy

Hi all
I'm a newbie! I accidentally broke my passenger side back original sliding window (old disabled minibus). How easy/difficult will it be to replace? I can easily buy the glass but it looks like a nightmare to get the glass back in (without me breaking it). Any suggestions? Does the outer frame come off? Should I just drive the van into a river  tongue
