Hi Thanks people.

I had a look with a friend and it does look as if the strut would be cleared OK.

But the caliper is so close. only MM`s, away.

My feeling is to just stay with ET31`s and keep the wheel width accross the van.

I could get that back if I put on 205 tryes but I have 4 x 195 new winter ones I use all season sat new in the garage.

While I am on they are Kormoran Snow, made by Michelin in Serbia very reasonable £70 a wheel fitted or around £59 ish to buy loose delivered where I get them from.

195/65 15 95T XL.

Might just be me but the best tyre I ever had on these vans and had 3 altogether over 14 years ( where does it go ? ).

Great in the snow and lovely tread pattern etc. Took them right through summer ( the sort of summer this year ) and no worries.

Also very good on mud. The van drives so well and better steering with them too ( I think ).

I find them much better than say Crosslimate 2`s or Goodyear vector all seasons.

Just throwing it out there as a good time to get some ordered before prices creep up.

Thank you again for the advice and good site that.

Hi we live in a  rural area, and my wheels are a bit ratty, so made a start with a wire brush, and some black hammerite.

But as a bit far gone I would like to buy some better ones for my scudo 2006 JTD.

If anyone has any nice  clean ones for sale that can go, or knows of any and fairly affordable somewhere, please feel free to contact me.

You probably know the steel wheels for this varient are 15" J6.5 5x98 ET31`s I`d like to get, if I can.

I have been offered some very decent 15" J6.5 5x98 ET38`s

These seem to come with 215`s on as standard 2007 vans on, so not sure my 195 new tyres sat in the garage will go on OK ?

Maybe they will ?

I think 38`s would push my wheel`s in 7mm inwards ? from each side pretty sure.

Do 2007 on 15" ET38`s clear the caliper and shock strut enough ? would that small narrowing by 14mm over the two wheels across the van matter much ? do you think.

But as rural, and very windey roads out here, its a bit of a rock, and roller, as it is, but OK ( brilliant !!! van ).

Anyway some advice etc re Wheel options, other ones that fit etc or best to stick to the usual ET31`s etc would be much appreciated, so thanks in advance of any thoughts or advice.
