£1500 is a fair chunk of money but if the rest of the van is sound I'd probably get it done too. Biggest problem with rust is there's usually more hiding than you first thought. Hopefully once the sills are sorted and properly treated you'll get a few more years out of her. How's Brenda getting on now?
Good to see you're making progress with the Synergie after all that time. Sounds like it's been one thing after another, especially with the driveshaft and door lock giving you grief. Probably a good call leaving it with the garage to finish things off. At least it's back on four wheels and a step closer to the road. Hope the MOT goes smoothly. Keep us posted on how it turns out!
