#1 Re: Maintenance » water leak into rear quarter of body » 2015-08-17 20:35:41

Welcome, Jude.

Hmm, If it's not the light cluster itself, and I'm guessing the interior is otherwise dry(?), could it be damage / rust at the end of the driver's-side sliding-door exterior runner?

Unusual for these vans to rust much but W reg is getting on a bit I guess.

The end of the exterior runner is right above the light cluster.

Otherwise, a leak in the roof could feed down the internal corner, past the cluster and into the void.

Good luck!

That def sounds tempting Monkeynut.

Any photos?

My van has a small (6 inches maybe?) steel lip / bulkhead on the floor behind the seats. Did yours have this? Did you have to remove it?

Must make some difference to the whole feel of the van!

Aah the old Citroen spinning locks!

Apparently this was a security feature whereby anyone using the wrong key would just find the barrel spinning. Works a bit too well I think!

Mine do the same - but I find that both my keys work better one way than the other in all my locks - I don't even think about it now - always get it right!

Some are central locking - some not - guessing yours isn't - and that's probably a blessing :-)

Will look forward to your photos!

Welcome to the club Alex!

How'd it go at the garage? Hope all's good.

Hi Billy and welcome!

This isn't something that I've had to look at personally so not much help I'm afraid.

Did you ever find out what you needed?

I would absolutely love a copy of that !

Moonshyne - Yes! I did!

Finally got round to fitting this. At first it didn't work properly - then I realised that I'd not wired it properly.

Works perfectly!

UNLESS - the Autoleads PC99-X25 actually compensates for the switched cables in the ISO connector. In which case - would you have to undo your swapped cables?

It does indeed compensate (I had switched the cables too and have now undone that!). So if anyone's fitting an aftermarket stereo to their dispatch I'd just buy one of these as well. It makes the job easier, makes your steering controls work and is only £25. Job done!

By the way - the Dynamic Sounds site says that this fits the Peugeot Expert and Fiat Ulysee (so I assume Fiat Scudo) too. … lPuxNLbN8F

Have to say they were also extremely helpful - great service.

So a guy at Dynamic Sounds asked me to send a picture of the connectors at the back of the stereo.

After I sent them to him - he has recommended the Autoleads PC99-X25 - Citroen / Fiat / Peugeot Steering Wheel Control Adaptor. … lPuxNLbN8F

It looks right to me - will order this week and will let you know how it goes.

By the way - I think the CA-R-PI031 or whatever equivalent we can find will also work for other makes of head unit as the jack-in interface seems pretty universal these days.

I also found a compatibility chart which specifies the connectors needed for different makes of car and van. Scudo & Expert aren't well covered but reading between the lines - the Ulysse and 806 are and I reckon this adapter might well work with them too. Can't say for sure though!

Hi all,

I've been trying to get to the bottom of what I need to make the steering wheel remote controls work on my 2005 Dispatch with an aftermarket stereo (Pioneer).

After a lot of hunting I found this - the catchily named CA-R-PI031!

It definitely looks like the right thing - but no-one seems to sell them.

I've sent out a few emails to online car entertainment retailers so I'll let you know how I get on.

#14 Re: Maintenance » Citroen Dispatch side sliding door not closing properly » 2013-09-21 21:44:37

This happened to me too on both doors.

Messing about with a few of the adjustable points fixed it for me. But like you say the locator on the forward facing edge of the doors is the most likely culprit.

It's weird though, were these vans built with ill-fitting sliding doors? Any van I've seen, be it Expert, Dispatch or Scudo, the drivers door and passenger door sit indented from the sliding door in a way that makes it look like they could never have been perfectly aligned. This leaves what is effectively an airbrake on the leading edge of the sliding doors.

Oh well! Glad at least that mine are making a good seal now.
