Hello, I'm new here, this is my first post, I'm intrested in buying a Citroen Jumpy '00 its a Turbo Diesel 1.9, owner says engine has been replaced by PO (he has been owning the van for over 1.5 years), it has a manual gearbox and clutch has been replaced lately, and yes it feels like its pretty much new. AC don't work, don't know why, didn't check if compressor is seized or not, it has 365,000 kilometers on it (243,333 miles), body is good has some dings and dongs over here and there, interior has some broken parts like AC control switches / blower motor controls, but blower works. I gave it a gas, a small amout of black smoke came out of the exhaust, but not bad. engine has black oil on the oil pan. thats the only thing i could tell from down.

when he first started the engine, he gave it a little gas, then when he left the gas, engine was rough and maybe misfiried a couple of times, then went smooth after 2 seconds, and stayed smooth untill the end, acceleration is good, kapt the engine on idle until it reached 90 degrees and then cooling fan kicked on, and after that off, so thats good, engine doesn't overheat and cooling system is working as it should.

I wanted to know what I should check too, and what is the common problems that these vans have, I will be driving the van 4-5 days of the weak, each day about 120 kilometers. each day about 8/9 passengers. I don't want it to break down on the road and leave us stranded. Also, I don't have enough time for it to bring to the mechanic to fix it if there was something wrong. So i will check it and make sure everything is good and if there's anything I need to fix I will do it before I start driving it daily. So all i need is a list of things i need to check and confim that its good and reliable.

Regards,
Samir.
