Best description I can come up with, in a previous life I had a rusty (always were) Mk5 Smiley Transit, I removed the EGR flap linkage in the throttle chain of connections, cable tying the flap to always open and turned up the mid range fueling, the result was a light pedal and a fly machine.
Not being familiar with the engine in my Expert, it is the 2.0 HDI engine, but not even sure if there is a turbo in there either? So can anything similar be done as I did with my Transit (power delivery isn't an issue for now) I tried to find the diesel pump but to say things are cramped is an understatement and as a result couldn't even find the engine end of the throttle cable!

Ok my van has a gear stick, which of course is always helpful BUT the travel seems rather excessive to me, I saw a youtube video with two aussie guys who are doing up a car what they call 'The Blue Turd', one video was for a short shift kit and the diffence from stock was very noticeable, whilst I think this would be overkill of the van is there any way to shorten the gearstick travel.

I have just joined the darkside, well sort of, years of driving vans both for work and personally, varying makes but now with a Vivaro Minibus for work and an Expert for me.
I browsed most of the posts on here and found a few links which proved to be useful. I will be posting a few technical questions as the (new to me) van has a few niggles I wish to fix, but then that is half the fun I guess.
