Update, I eventually sourced a roof rack and then a roof box from good old eBay to give me more room for the motorbike kit when I go racing.
I've had to buy a telescopic ladder though to reach up  big_smile

I began work on the cupboard / kitchen area, including making a worktop from b and q furniture board.
Turned out alright

This week I shall be having the first night out in her, sleeping over at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire, before a trackday on the Friday.
Will be a good test to see how much I can pack in the back!

Next on the hit list is a diesel heater for the cold nights.

Good news with the engine matters.

Liking the progress in the back too!

So the Alfa alloys arrived today and they were swiftly bolted on.

They are in need of a refurb, as you'd imagine for the price, but I didn't want to splash too much cash only to find fitment issues.
(It seems some genius had them stored face down for a while sad  )

Ideally they do need spacing off the hubs, maybe by even 15-20mm (Kits are available for this on ebay) but for now they'll do fine.

It has done the desired effect of replacing those rather naff steel wheels!

Next job, is either tinting the rear windows or coming up with a curtain solution....

Great news, I'm always terrified of my Synergie-sourced ones wearing out/breaking as I have no idea where I'd get replacements.

What do you mean when you say "I had to modify three of the seat pegs"?

I mean the original screws / bolts pointing down from the seat runners. So all the red circled items shown in the photos.
There we six total on my seat. two front and four rear.

Hi All, I don't know if this is specific to just the Dispatch, but I was able to use a 2006+ model for my 2005 seat mount.

I bought this after a couple of messages confirming the hole centres (I needed the hole centres to be 385mm wide and 330mm front to rear):

And although I had to modify three of the seat pegs, it was nice not to be re-drilling holes etc etc, they lined up just fine.

End result:

First peg modified:

3rd:

What the seat mount looks like:

Not exactly cheap at £125 for the mount, but saves on some time and effort modifying others even more.
Let me know if you think this works across the other variants of the vans 96-06. Cheers!

Been busy over the last couple of days, in between parenting of course!

I discovered the hand brake lever was only held on by one bolt, which was also loose, so I managed to bolt that back on tight.

I have discovered an oil drip, culminating at the clutch housing bottom, yet to fully discover the root, any suggestions?

I fitted a swivel base, using a 2006+ seat mount, also posted this as a seperate post in case people come looking for swivel mount answers (like me!)

Which I am very happy with, just need to find more pennies for the drivers seat now  lol

I have scored some alfa alloys for £140 delivered, with tyres (hopefully decent tread!) arriving tomorrow so she may have new boots to show off!

I took the rear plastic panels out and began thinking on the amenities, there is already an outlet to free air where I have shown the waste water going. This may also be good for gas escaping if I can get a bottle in that area. Need to measure up stuff further:

Loving it so far!!

Is that yours? Just wondering if wheel spacers were needed, the offsets seem to be 10mm different between those Alfa wheels and the Dispatch.

Looks good on them!

Sorry no it's not my van (far to shiny) although my van does have 5 spoke 15" after market alloys fitted ....... can't remember brand...........

The owner of said van(16" Alfa rims fitted) is also a subscriber to this forum and there are several posts based around the use of Alfa rims ....... I don't recollect mention of spacers needed for offset

Ok thanks! I shall find out tomorrow!!

Yes they are 5 x 98 PCD.

Good spot, tempting!, but then I'd have to buy the tyres, ideally would like a set including tyres. cos I'm tight being from yorkshire an all  big_smile

Hi All,

I recently bought a 2005 Dispatch with the aim of transporting my race bike to events and being a camper as much as can be possible.
25k miles on the clock and a very tidy example.

Looking for swivel seat options and the threads posted on here have been very useful so far.

I'm also looking for something to make the wheels look a little less spindly! So I see alloys from Alfa Romeos fit BUT they have a 10mm different offset meaning the wheels would sit even further into the body. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.

The rear floor plan is to be decided and of course I am limited in options in order to allow bike transport.

But I'm ready to give it a good go soon enough. Watch this space! Thanks all.

I got a little excited on social media when I got my first ever van home!
