Only just got a van myself, but from my knowledge of 306s using the same engines it will physically fit no problem, I would guess the gearboxes are interchangable but would need the fork mechanism swapping. On the 306s one was a push type clutch and one was a pull type. As for the engine, wiring would be the headache there is a whole lot more of it required for the 2.0.

I think its possible but long winded. Someone with more experience should be able to give a more concrete answer though.

Thank you! First day of commuting in him today, he flies through the lanes.

First couple of little bits today, made the monsterous key a little smaller as the remote doesn’t work anyway.

Also, I won this. Bargain, lets see if I can make it work. Just got to make the 60 mile drive to pick it up now...

Tried doing a truck camper, we did a couple of weekends in Wales and Scotland but it was just that bit too impractical, not being a shared driving and storage space. Also having to move our gear out the back to make the bed. So for us this is positively roomy.

A friend just bought a window van expert ready for our euro trip in the summer and  made me jealous. I just had to have one too, all the perks of space and mpg vs my truck.

Interior just has a couple of ply lined panels and some bare. Plans to insulate, clad and carpet it, the usual swivel seats, small kitchen type unit and a bed. Will be luxury I hope.

Price was just over £1500, a fair price I think. Seemed to be the most honest advert around. MOT history is the best Ive seen.

We got one! 2.0 HDi! And in a good colour. Hopefully its as honest as it seems. Made it home without a hint of a problem.

He has however had a name change, he is no longer Ernie (our previously decided name), the other half has decided he is very much an Alvin. Who do I need to talk to nicely to change that on here?

2.0 Hdi. Used to have a 306 with one, had it remapped and it got me 65mph on a weekend away to north wales. Then I got silly and decided 180 bhp was a good idea, hybrid turbo and a visit to hdituning and it ended dynoing at 179bhp with 300ft lbs.

Hi all,

Hoping to get into a van soon, haven’t bought one yet but searching hard.

Whats a reasonable price to be paying? The prices seem to be all over the place.

Plan will be to convert it to a day/campervan ready for a euro trip in the summer.

Please excuse me if I ask the obvious.

Ian
