#1 Re: Spare Parts » Single front seats » 2024-03-23 06:09:39

You’re right they were too good to scrap. I should have posted an update though. I found a chap fairly locally with a Dispatch with very ‘raggy’ seats who was delighted with them!

#2 Re: Spare Parts » Single front seats » 2024-02-16 16:20:52

It is a shame, they are hardly worn having come out of a low mileage van in the first place. I’ll hold on to them as long as possible but I really will have nowhere to store them soon. Has anyone any ideas? It’s not exactly something someone wants every day!

#3 Re: Spare Parts » Single front seats » 2024-02-15 19:55:07

Yeah I’m not sure about swapping the cushions … I’d have to go back tomorrow and have another look. You're more than welcome to get creative though!

#4 Re: Spare Parts » Single front seats » 2024-02-15 18:44:56

So I’ve hopefully measured the seat bolts. Front, middle and rear are all (approx) 385mm apart. Front to middle 245mm and front to back 330mm. Hope this is helpful!IMG_0730.jpeg

#5 Re: Spare Parts » Single front seats » 2024-02-14 19:40:41

Yes will measure tomorrow. They’re in a garage not far from my house but too far to go in the rain and dark haha! They are a standard fitting though as the seats I replaced them with bolted straight in.

Edit: ah yes I see what you mean, I’ll do my best!

Like Caspers the seats are out of my van which is an ex wheelchair access vehicle. I replaced them when I bought two swivel seats off eBay. I’ll check on whether they fold flat when I take a picture of them this morning (they’ve been out a while, I can’t remember!)

Anyone want front drivers and (single) passenger seat from 2006 Expert 1.9D? Both very good condition. Seems a shame to throw them out but due to a change in circumstances I need them gone! Can post pictures later …

#10 Re: General Discussion » Sorry to be getting rid of my Dispatch. » 2023-02-06 09:14:22

Well best of luck Stu!
I moved from an old T4 to my present Peugeot 1.9D. Was lovely to drive but so expensive to repair and was rusting away faster than you could weld it back up!

A beautiful place, somewhere I’ve promised myself I’ll stay at some day having passed nearby a few times.

#12 Re: Camper Conversions » Had a few days free, nipped over to to Germany » 2022-01-21 20:29:52

Wow 100 isn’t bad! I’ve managed 90 in my 1.9d but that’s downhill on the A30. On that road you need to be going fast just to get up the other side!

#13 Re: Maintenance » I would like to pay for some training :) » 2022-01-21 19:47:36

Hey there!
Sorry I can’t offer any training but good to see another member from the Calder Valley!?

#14 Re: General Discussion » Expert e-hydrogen » 2021-05-28 21:20:35

I suppose it’s the future although by the time I can afford something like that I’ll be too old to drive!

#15 Re: General Discussion » I'm guilty... » 2021-01-07 07:24:35

Don’t be taken in by looks .... I drive a brand new Peugeot every day at work. Ok it’s the Partner variety but whenever I get into my old Expert I smile. Much nicer despite its rattles and really comfortable to drive!

#18 Re: Maintenance » Left rear door won't open! » 2020-11-19 22:04:34

When my rear door doesn’t open it’s usually because it’s already slightly open, ie come off the catch somehow. If I give it a shove to close it properly it then opens easily. Whether yours is the same or not I don’t know!

#19 Re: General Discussion » Re decent mudflats for a Citroen Dispatch 2000. » 2020-11-09 20:22:03

Well I’m afraid I can’t comment on mudflaps but welcome to the forum!
As an aside, I drive a brand new Peugeot Partner for work but much prefer the comfort and feel of my old Expert!

#20 Re: General Discussion » Another Question about "RUSTY SILLS" » 2020-11-06 20:21:09

“ But Sprinters especially "God knows why along with VW's They command such an alleged value and following.........”

Haha ... I had a VW T4. I thought it was great. Parts cost a bomb and it rusted away. But you know what, I much prefer my Peugeot 1.9D! Maybe tomorrow I’ll go and inspect the sills though!

What are you planning?

I’ve spent a little time making a couple of awning rails on either side which I’ve yet to use. Damned lockdown was when I had my holiday weeks booked! I managed to get a couple of front swivel seats off eBay. They make quite a difference as far as room in the back goes. Also made ‘blinds’ for the windows of which I have far too many. That’s about it really. Not much left of this year. Hoping to get much more use out of the van next year (fingers crossed)!

#22 Re: Camper Conversions » Lockdown Project » 2020-10-02 19:18:46

Well for a “low level” conversion I think you’ve done a great job! Maybe I should be aiming a little higher ...

#23 Re: General Discussion » senile or deaf..... Both possibly » 2020-08-15 19:23:02

Hey there Vaz
I don’t post much on forums generally but do enjoy reading all your posts. Hope everything goes all right for you both and enjoy that trip in the van!

#24 Re: Camper Conversions » JohnDragonMan's Dispatch Camper Conversion » 2020-07-15 06:53:08

I have to say, I can’t believe how much time and effort has gone into your project .... true dedication!

#25 Re: General Discussion » Seats in! » 2020-06-26 21:07:16

Those seats look great now they’re both in! Might look at a stereo as well as the original in mine rarely plays cds.
