Since I live in Norway, where it's pretty cold in the winter, I plan to install an engine heater. Can anybody inform me about the internal diameter of the lower radiator hose on the DW8B?

How about the piston top? No damage when hitting the valve so hard it snaps the camshaft? Well, the belt will be replaced..

Oops yikes  Then mine is on overtime! Set ordered... from Dolz.

Thanks, kenbw2. smile
Wow yikes That is far beyond repairs...Belt-kit and glowplugs are in the mail, as we speak. Wouldn't want to lose this car due to lack of maintenence. Put down quite a few hours in it already to get it through MOT, and has plans for a removable camper conversion.
Do you happen to know the interval of timing belt replacing?

Hi good people.
I am sitting here contemplating the consequences of a snapped timing belt. Not that it has snapped, by all means. But is it a death sentence for all engines? Even the good old 1,9D in the MK1?

#56 Re: General Discussion » How to change glowplugs » 2020-09-02 08:19:29

Old thread, but I'm borrowing it... Do the intake manifold have to come off in order to replace the glow-plugs? Just bought this car, a 2003 Dispatch (or Jumpy as they are named here). As the car runs rough and are laying out a smoke-screen in the morning, I suspect glowplug-problems. Starts and runs just fine when hot...

Yeah. Beginning to think that it would have been better to have the shop handle this. Cannot for the life of me get the knuckle off the drive shaft. Talked to a mechanic I know, and he told me that these knuckles are not meant to be reused. Sometimes they have to destroy them to get them off. Not happy right now...

Good description, dude. I am far into the process of replacing both boots. I have a question, though: How do you drop the bottom ball joint without damaging the rubber? I am replacing the wishbone on the right side, but only the CV-boot on the left side.
