Hi All
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My Scudo failed to start the other day, however it did eventually allowing me to turn it around in our cul-de-sac to the position I would normally leave it facing. It now fails to start / fire. It cranks over fine; it now displays the attached the flashing Red stop sign & the amber warning light which looks as though it has a letter 'K' in the centre. I am unable to find what this warning light means

Damn, just realised I have listed in the wrong year range as its a 2003 van!

Not quite the "K" shape of yours:-
Dispatch Check Engine Warning light
Check Engine
Name: Citroën Dispatch check engine warning light.
Description: The check engine warning light, also called the malfunction indicator light (MIL) is Citroën's Engine Self-Diagnosis System. It comes on for the following reasons:
▷ Citroën Dispatch Check Engine Warning light Fixed: Emissions control system has a fault. You can usually carry on driving. May notice reduced engine power and an increase in fuel consumption. Have engine check as soon as possible.
▷ Citroën Dispatch Check Engine Warning light Flashing: Engine management system has a fault. May notice rough sounding engine indicating misfire. Possible damage to the catalytic converter may arise due to fuel entering the system and causing extremely high temperatures. Immediately reduce speed until the light goes out. Have vehicle checked immediately.
▷ Citroën Dispatch Check Engine Warning light + Citroën Dispatch Warning Service Spanner light Indication of a minor engine fault.
▷ Citroën Dispatch Check Engine Exclamation Mark Warning light + Citroën Dispatch STOP warning light. Indication of a major engine fault. Stop immediately and contact a Citroën workshop.

I dont think that K symbol is the check engine light, I remember my old 806 had it at one point. It mysteriously went out before the MOT, which was very convenient.
I just found this though
If it's a 1.9D all the old classic techniques should work. ie does it have fuel, air and compression
Is fuel making it to the injectors?

Had a play about today, had a neighbour crank her over. No smoke at all from the exhaust. Does anyone know if the stop solenoid fails does this amber warning light with the letter 'K' always remain illuminated?

I always thought that amber K shape light was to do with ignition chip immobilizer thing...............
IIRC ... it wasn't yesterday ............As my grand daughter had been playing with a magnet that stuck to our bunch of keys and then the bit where you put key in ignition ... it wouldn't sart and that K light was on.................
It baffled us for what seemed ages ..............

Any Fiat auto electricians in the Leigh GT Manchester area that could help? Had a diagnostic reader on, but says no communication with ECU
HELP PLEASE

Probably to late but how about the crank shaft sensor? This was the issue of non starting on my Volvo and sometimes Maxus. Its not an expensive item to just try for the sake of elimination.

I have now sorn'd the vehicle. Need an Auto Electrician URGENTLY

There seems to be a lot of variation and incompatibility between the various ECU's, software, and hardware used. Might be worth finding even an ordinary garage with different (more professional? equipment .
Top of the list from a quick search finds this one though who claim no call out fee and no fix, no charge!!! :-

Had something similar with mine. Let the battery go flat flat. So swapped it out. Got the same lights as yours turned out to be the immobilizer. The glow plug light would not come on either.
Did a bit of Googling. Disconnected the battery for 10 mins. Left the key in the ignition reconnected. Left in 10 mins
Turned it in glow plug light weirded solenoid noises it makes.
and boom fires first time

Finally after a break in the cold weather I removed the ally casing (security cover) on the fuel pump. Replaced the stop solenoid & the van has started, happy days . As the van has been off the road with this non start issue the mot had expired. Took her for test & she past 1st time with just 2 minor advisories. As it was just a week off the end of the month I decided to wait until 1st May before I taxed her. Yesterday I went out for the first time since taking her for test & now she has started playing up; coughing / missing & lacking power. She drove perfectly before the stop solenoid failed & too & from the test station. Not had chance to look at her yet. Really hope its something simple?????
