Newbie question

Just bought a rust free 2005 Scudo 2.0lt JTD SX 68,000mls.  I want to remove the double seat and replace with a single one. What seats fit my scudo please
It bought like this, part turned into a camper. I'm going to make a proper mini camper. First job is to take the Bulkhead out to give more light and room :-)

Re: Newbie question

You can get single passenger seats but they are like hens teeth. You can also just use a drivers one and use the floor mounted belt clasp. Unsure but may need to take the seat mounted one off to keep MOT man happy. As for the bulkhead its just bolted on but you are left with a smaller step over section what is sealed along the floor and one bolt each side. I just undid the two bolts and attacked it with a big hammer.

Re: Newbie question

BTW almost any sets of seats will do as long as the runners are flat. You just need to make a base the correct height. I dont have one of these vans anymore but the idea is the same. This is two Vauxhall Corsa seats i got on ebay for 50 quid

20170606_150315.jpg

The bases you see in that picture was just seat bases out my bus and were wrong so i set about making new bases out 3cm box steel. The steel cost me another £30 cut to size

Owning an LDV its worth buying a welder big_smile This is a galsless mig and took 10 minutes

Drill holes for your seat runners and floor mounts

I dont have a picture of bases in place but this is them boxed with ply. Heep fronts open for storing shite in

All you are doing is drilling through the floor for new mounts but missing anything under like fuel lines, wires and stuff. To keep MOT man happy add load bearing plates under the van

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Large-Harnes … 3641.l6368

If adding a swivel plate remember your height as they add a good 3cm. I am 6'2" and a swivel plate on a standard Expert seat was a tad tall. I had to take the sun visor out to look ahead up the road. Anyway. Two comfortable matching seats and base for under £100

Re: Newbie question

Casper did a great job on his, but if like me you find the steelwork a bit daunting, the car seats to look for are - Peugeot 806, Fiat Ulysses, Citroen Synergie/Evasion, Lancia Zeta and the later Citroen C8 and Peugeot 807. They do appear on eBay, but quality/price/shipping can be an issue.
The actual seats will have differing fixing holes, but the bases should all be standard - so make sure the base comes with the seat.
Here's an example (seller states that he has fronts also) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-syne … 2271097767

Re: Newbie question

Those swivel seats don't half make your van look spacious C.  Mind, with that dog you need it.  smile

Even in the Expert they make so much difference.  Not just the space either.  It gives another view and is far more sociable when with company.

When turned you were still not sitting in the back so four could sit easily in the van if socialising at a festival or wherever

I also made my own kind of rock n roll bed from wood what saved space also
