Hi all,
I've been trying to get to the bottom of what I need to make the steering wheel remote controls work on my 2005 Dispatch with an aftermarket stereo (Pioneer).
After a lot of hunting I found this - the catchily named CA-R-PI031!
It definitely looks like the right thing - but no-one seems to sell them.
I've sent out a few emails to online car entertainment retailers so I'll let you know how I get on.

By the way - I think the CA-R-PI031 or whatever equivalent we can find will also work for other makes of head unit as the jack-in interface seems pretty universal these days.
I also found a compatibility chart which specifies the connectors needed for different makes of car and van. Scudo & Expert aren't well covered but reading between the lines - the Ulysse and 806 are and I reckon this adapter might well work with them too. Can't say for sure though!

So a guy at Dynamic Sounds asked me to send a picture of the connectors at the back of the stereo.
After I sent them to him - he has recommended the Autoleads PC99-X25 - Citroen / Fiat / Peugeot Steering Wheel Control Adaptor.

It looks right to me - will order this week and will let you know how it goes.

It will be interesting to see if there are any issues with the fact that Citroen have swapped connectors 4 and 7 on the black ISO power connector (in pics 3 and 4 above).
How did you get around that issue JS?
I suppose if, like me, you switched the cables AFTER the connector (I switched mine on the head unit's own cables, yellow to red, red to yellow) it shouldn't make any difference and it should all just work fine. I think! Unless the remote processing unit itself relies on correct wiring of the +ve 12v constant and +ve 12v switched supplies
If, however, you switched the cables at the ISO connector itself ... hmm actually I think that should still work too. In fact that might be the preferred situation.
UNLESS - the Autoleads PC99-X25 actually compensates for the switched cables in the ISO connector. In which case - would you have to undo your swapped cables?
Aaaargh!
Keen to hear how you get on!

Moonshyne - Yes! I did!
Finally got round to fitting this. At first it didn't work properly - then I realised that I'd not wired it properly.
Works perfectly!

It does indeed compensate (I had switched the cables too and have now undone that!). So if anyone's fitting an aftermarket stereo to their dispatch I'd just buy one of these as well. It makes the job easier, makes your steering controls work and is only £25. Job done!
By the way - the Dynamic Sounds site says that this fits the Peugeot Expert and Fiat Ulysee (so I assume Fiat Scudo) too.

Have to say they were also extremely helpful - great service.

DS-CT001.2 from www.dynamicsounds.co.uk also works its available with a free patch lead... I have one up and running on my 2004 Dispatch.
I hot mine on ebay. Fitting is made easier if you temporarily remove the air vent next to the instrument panel, it gives you more access in order to tuck all the extra wiring away neatly.
