Righto, just fitted new drums and shoes on the rear, and did the disk and pads on the offside front, all good, no seized bolts and crap, and the drum only needed a little bit of whacking to come off. Doing the other disk and pads tomorrow.
Question.. my hand brake lever now goes all the way up, and at max only just holds. Tried the brakes on the drive, the brake pedal feels a bit like it has air in it, first depression a bit spongey, a few pumps and rock hard. Brakes work ok. Do the auto adjusters in the drums work? How fast? Does the hand brake auto adjust?
The nice people at Euro Parts gave me three disks by mistake, they got a box with just the one disk in it, so they got another box (thinking there was meant to be only one disk in the box...), guess what, second box has two disks in it... ta very much. Although not sure what I'll do with one disk. Anybody need a disk?
Cheers

No Idea how long it takes adjusters in drums but I'd have thought adjust them up close first and let them do the rest of fine tuning..................
Older smaller Fiats ~ like uno, Punto etc at one time ..... you did as I said and then shot backwards and hit brakes to adjust ... Don't know if it's still the case with newer stuff .......
But as I've said before difficult for online prognosis with described symptoms ... But it does sound like air in system and needing a good bleed yet or even a full flush out ...........
And Remember it does take a little time to burn ... bed in new brakes ............
And I doubt adjuster works on hand brake but stranger things hav happened at sea ... and French
I changed my front disks and have never been as happy with brakes as before ... Everything works as per ...........
It may have something to do with ABS ... Or material quality ....................
Or fact that the newer much more driven car's just feel sharper ...........
I've got another set of disks for it ... And it's past about 3 or 4 MOT's since job was done .............

Thanks.
I took it for a drive today, and the brakes are fine in operation, obviously need to bed in a bit yet. I've realised that the handbrake is adjusted manually at the cable, under the body.... I'll do that later when its dry.
