Hi. What had everyone done for their interior roof lining in a mk1/facelift panel van? Don’t want to go to the expense and effort of fancy cladding, I’m not going that all out on it just basic comfort and cleanliness for the odd overnighter or two.
I’m thinking a sheet of 3mm or 6mm ply and carpet lining it? Just seems like getting it cut just right and finished nicely will not be trivial as it’s all curved on each plane not just nice flat straight lines. Maybe someone has a better idea.
Been trying to source a normal roof lining from an ex taxi/wav/mpv but can’t find one for love nor money. Likewise a pair of white rear doors complete with glass windows!
Could a mk2 roof lining be made to fit?

There was a E7 breakers in ebay for long enough as well. Was looking for them not long ago but no joy. I cant see them going bust as there is still a lot on the roads as well as the later versions. I was just lucky my local scrap yard hade afire damaged one in. The lining was fine just wanted a wash. I stole that at 20 quid.

The headlining for a Mk2 is all one piece, so pretty large !
I grabbed one from a breakers and then used the two edges to trim along the sides of the pop-top. It has a stupic lump shape in the middle, so I had to make a separate piece for that. i think you'll have some problems with the ply approach due ot the funky shape of the roof/wall joints.
