Re: Water hose blew won’t start

On one hand sounds like head gasket blown, on the other doesn't explain why it isn't starting again, as if immobiliser at work....??? Dunno.
ODB "testing" is nothing, barely ever shows anything but wrong diagnosis which commonly is failure in sensors etc...

I would suggest open a oil filler and leaving the cap on, see when you (or someone else) is cranking the engine over if oil cap stays in the place. If it just bobbles on the top- see else, but if it occasionally flies off- 100% head gasket.

Re: Water hose blew won’t start

the 1997cc HDI/JTD engine only need 3 sensors to make the engine start and run. these sensors are the crank position sensor, the cam position sensor, and the fuel rail pressure sensor.

everything else sensor wise can be unplugged from the engine and it will still run.

i would start unplugging things till it fires back up again starting with the mass air flow sensor just after the air box.

be aware that there's a thing these engines do when the timing belt is not in correct timing, if the cam and crank sensor are not within the correct marks it wont let the injectors fire
you can only see if the cam and crank are not in synchronisation by using live data diagnostics.

hope this helps in some way..
