Trip Computer Reset and Dashboard Buttons

Hi all.

Ive just become the proud owner of a 2012 Peugeot Expert with 130k on the clock. I am happy to have found this forum, and in fact it was information on here which helped me decide to go for an Expert instead of a Scudo, as some threads seemed to suggest the latter was less reliable. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. But anyway, I've now got my van, and it drives really well, I'm happy.

I've searched the forum but can't find info on what I'm looking for. Basically, I'm trying to work out what miles per gallon I'm getting out of the expert. I see there's a trip computer which shows up on the dashboard just above the total mileage. There's two buttons (or they could be dials, I'm not sure) on the dashboard underneath this.

I've looked online but am unable to find anywhere were it tells me how to reset the trip computer. I'm guessing it's one of the two little buttons/dials below the mileage readout, but I don't want to press them in case it messes anything up/changes something else. Could anyone advise as to how it's possible to reset the trip computer?

Also, I've seen it mentioned somewhere, that there is a way to get the vehicle to show what MPG it is delivering as I'm driving. Can anyone advise as to whereabouts I can find advice about how to do that?

Many thanks in anticipation

Interesting that you saw this, it's my understanding that they're literally identical aside from the badges. Maybe they're different on the Mk2 models, what did you see different?

Re: Trip Computer Reset and Dashboard Buttons

I saw a thread from someone whose scudo kept cutting out over and over, he tried lots of fixes but it kept happening. i thought because the fiat is called a multijet and the dispatch & expert are HDI's, that the fiat engine is different? maybe not, im not amazingly knowledgable about vehicles.

Also i saw people saying FIAT stands for Fix It Again Tomorrow.. perhaps I was acting on biased information!

Annoying if so cause my Expert cost me a grand more than a comparable Scudo I saw for sale.

PS Do you know if these vans have turbos in them? I've seen mixed information about that

Re: Trip Computer Reset and Dashboard Buttons

Looking at the Wikipedia page I only see:

- The Ford 1,560 cc engine which I believe is branded as the 1.6HDi
- The PSA (Peugeot/Citroen) 1,997cc which is the 2.0 HDi engines

They're both listed with MultiJet branding. Which matches what I know of the Mk1 models - that the PSA engine was branded a JTD on the Fiat, even though it's the same engine.

I think the Scudo is Fiat in name only

I know the 1.6 HDi and 2.0 HDi are both turbocharged

There were non-turbo 1.9 litre engines in the Mk1 models, but none of the post-2007 models had those engines
