Clarion Radio PU-2294A (C) coding (Citroen Dispatch 2004 Enterprise)

Code has been lost recently (again) and forum members helped out on a different thread, certainly worth reposting (I thinks)

Have you taken a multimeter to the various wires? Maybe that'll tell you where in the chain the problem is?

Yesterday talked to the dealer (was looking for a radio code and asked casually what he knows of then-  the usual "would need to book in" $$$, he mentioned something about a supply wiring and relays... ?

ANW didn't get the code, as they "need" V5, didn't want to be further ripped off for diagnostic work,

If so there is a code calculator tool which produces the code from the serial number.  Works with serial numbers in the format:- C7000 0000xxxx.  It used to be a widely available free download but have just checked and can now only find people offering to do it for a price.

I posted a link to the download ages ago but just checked and it's no longer working.

It may still be available in the darker reaches of the net?

The radio (the thing don't have no Bluetooth in, no MP3 Input, wouldn't even play "PC burned CD's"

What it does have is "security" Locator pin and Steering wheel controls, that since fitting new (old) radio doesn't work.

Reasonable to mention here, I've got "Parrot Bluetooth CK3100 Loudspeaker system" circa 2010~ish?

So the guys helped out already,

Still there https://www.mysysadmintips.com/other/ca … nlock-code

here's better resolution of SN, as I don't believe such radio would be of interest to be stolen on PIN number would be of any security issue

Simply enter last 4 digits from the stereo barcode and it will calculate the unlock code!

The barcode can be found on stereo body and is on a format C7000000XXXX

clarion.exe can be downloaded from here.

It had come up as 6154 for this junk of an radio, although untested yet, but sounds different to what I had (and lost) got from a Citroen dealer in Godalming 5/6 years ago... who's shut now BTW...

I'll post back what's what later on gents!

Just FYI (and to request, if I may) the code is wrong and those "errors" registering, saying wrong code 3, even disconnected (and reconnected) the power after 2'nd try.

It looks like you're missing the second sticker on the unit (where the blank white rectangle is). This is where the serial code is located. Using *Super secret math hacking* you can crack the code. You take the last 4 digits of the code, and add 1 to the first number, 2 to the second number, 3 to the 3rd number and 4 to the 4th number. Your new 4 numbers are the code to unlock the radio. If any number goes above 6, you just count the next number from 1. For example, serial number ending in 2142 would have a security code of 3253. I'm afraid this isn't much use in your case but hopefully anyone else who stumbles on this thread can use this method.

Unfortunately @NastyBaz was right about the serial missing, as code turns out to be 2524 regardless how I'd try to reverse engineer numbers (serials) on it- none a matching existing "row" of digits to start with
ANW thanks to all interested and helped, hope it might end up of some use to somebody in the future

Long story short, battery had been disconnected and... code is forgotten again... quick search here and tomorrow, I'll have it back up  big_smile

I have 'Peugeot' PU-2294A here that came with the van which looks identical
and has a 4 digit number written in sharpie on the top, presumably the code ?.
Didnt bother to test it.
It was tucked behind the drivers seat as it had a Pioneer stereo in there when bought
and can only assume it was being kept to be reinstalled when the van was sold.

Depends, if you got intact connector (3'rd) , wiring and steering wheel controls... or something might been messed up and changed for exact that reason.
Talking about Pugs, my 5008 is so clever, but radio control stork under wipers does my head in

Edit
Uh  power wires. Power on and main loom on need been swapped back inside connector! (same colour wires)
