Long overdue Mk3 forum now open

It's been far too long, but it's time we catered for the Mk3 vans. Open for business

Re: Long overdue Mk3 forum now open

Are the non owners allowed to do "window shopping" for the luxuries in owning and repairs of Dispatch vans (be it MK3)?

I've no compliments for my old girl, she clearly deserves some, as never mind cheap to "entry", repairs are way simpler and cheaper too... If not rust... And road tax

Just imagine them youngens sweating each time something squeaky happens  big_smile

I'm not that young, and the van is easy enough to work on bar a a few things I'm finding as I go along, like, not sure how you are supposed to get to the fuse box, there is a crows nest of wires in front of it, accessing it looks to be basically impossible, plus it doesn't seem to align to the info in the owners manual (arrangement looks OK, but number of fuses doesn't align to either of the layouts in the book, which is pretty poor), so might have to check if I have right owners manual....?

The headers (Maintenance) etc should be indicating Mk1, Mk1 Facelift- blank, but MK2 and MK3 should say so MK2 General or MK3 Maintenance ?

Yep mine is the same, hidden behind a crows nest of cables and multiplugs and doesn't look entirely like the owners manual either.

Glad to have found this forum! Currently converting a Mk3 Expert and will likely run into some problems. The photos on here make me miss my Mk1 Dispatch.

Welcome to the forum! Glad we have some traction on the Mk3 front. Feel free to start a post telling us about your plans (and your old Mk1!)

Thank you! Its been a busy week so I'll write up some progress reports now.

I think it'll be a while before I have the time for a proper post on my old Mk1, but the important details are as follows. She cost £400. One year and 15,000 miles later, I sold her to a scrap yard for £100. I had spent most weekends sleeping in the back, and together we enjoyed some of the finest weather Scotland has to offer. She was called Celine.
