Hi! I'm new to this forum after buying a Y reg scudo a few weeks ago. I've converted a bus in the past, however I'm starting from scratch with van maintenance as my ex kept the tool shed and my last car was much newer and just 'worked' ?
My mechanic is keeping an eye out for a metal sliding door locator but in the meantime I've bought a plastic one to see if it will help with the gap in the door seal. And, it didn't come with fixing bolts.
I'm having a brain freeze. What bolts am I looking for to attach this?

M6 x 20mm, they look something like this originally,
I don't think the head style is that critical.

I struggled to find metal door locators for mine. I eventually got some from ebay but they have long since disappeared from my purchase history.
On just checking I see that there are now loads selling the phasic ones. But they do nothing to stop the draught from the ill fitting doors.

Thanks all. I've found the plastic locator fills enough of the air gap to make a nicer noise when going at speed, which feels like a small win.
I don't mind an air gap but even with the door locator in place there's still some rain coming through the top of the door which is going to be an issue
Any thoughts on this?

I'm not new to vans but fairly new to these and leaky doors seems to be an issue with some
I sealed up my RH side door and glad I did as it's given me more useful stowage space inside
so rain ingress and wind noise isn't an issue.
I have had a few drips on the near side door though and had to tinker with the sliders and mounts
When all else fails, RTFM

Yea common issue. All three of the door attachments are adjustable. The way I did it was to loosen them all, then tighten them all juuust enough to stay in place, shut the door, open it again then tighten them up.
It takes a lot of trial and error, and it's not intuitive. For example I had to add washers between the bottom slider and the door to push the bottom out so that the top would end up more inwards.
Basically, just keep playing with it. A jack helps to hold the door up if you need to undo the bottom mount

Amazing, thank you. It's like driving a different van, the wind noise is substantially reduced. Washers and faffing worked nicely
