I believe that the actual high pressure pump on second generation 2.0L HDI vans have something like an internal low pressure lift pump built in them, which negates the need for an internal tank or in line pump.... however I'm sure someone with either a better memory or much more expertise should be able to confirm or deny this.... does the posted workshop manuals not enlighten any?

If the above is correct have you kinked or dislocated a fuel line when going through water

Or a quiet chat to a mechanic down the Citroen, Peugeot,  fiat, Toyota? garage maybe.......

Re: Fuel

Thanks for the info,I drove through water on road at speed and van conked out with no fuel ,there was full tank ,the prima bulb was flat so lit new there was a problem at fuel tank end,had to be towed to mechs, after some looking and taking apart of fuel pipes etc we lowered the fuel tank and found that the water had pulled out the fuel pipe clips to sills and pushed the loose pipes hard into the gap above tank thus kinking the outlet fuel pipe and stopping the flow,on inspecting the pipe work closely this had happened before with previous owners ,so unkinked pipe refitted clips with extra cable ties so this won’t happen again,so glad ,I thought big bucks was gonna leave the wallet,  So if anyone on here power lose after going through water this could be the problem and answer,my van is Dispatch 2.0l turbo long wheel base 6 speed 08 plate .I hope this is helpful?

Re: Fuel

Thanks for letting us know.  Well sussed Vaz.

It's surprising how powerful even a couple of inches of water is when hit at speed.

It is heavy stuff in bulk.
