Cant remember the size. Six Torx bolts per seat is i remember correct and two are larger than the rest. Get a Torx set for your socket set. Bolts are right through and get road dirt so worth a squirt of releasing oil and a wire brush. If you just want them out for cleaning you can take the seats out but leave the base. Think its four bolts per seat working upside down.

Ah sorry. I presumed it was part of the seat base. I took the seat from the base added a swivel plate and just put that back. The other side i put in a single. Only picture i have with seat from base is on this page. Im sure you need t disconnect the cable and it all comes out as one unit

I swapped my seats for swivels, and didn't need to detach the handbrake cable.
There are (I'm pretty sure) two bolts securing the handbrake lever to the seat base. It'll be obvious once you remove the plastic cover.
Make sure to chock the wheels/put it in gear because you'll slacken off the handbrake.

I just went down the easy route and put in swivel plates to the existing seat hence not taking the brake away. I do miss my RHS handbrake and still reach down for it now and then over a year later
