#1 Maintenance » Oil stick Impossible angle » 2024-02-16 06:45:58

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I went for an oil change on my Scudo, and I broke the oil stick tip, because of the impossible angle the stick has to go through with the air intake in the middle

I bought a new one, and I took the air intake out, but I find it such a pain in the ass to take the box out everytime I want to check the oil level.

Do you guys have a tip for me to check the oil without making such a weird angle with the stick?

I was thinking about drilling a whole on the air intake, just over the oil stick. And put some kind of rubber plug on the new hole. But before drilling over my possibilities I wanted to ask you for a better solution.

Thanks!!

Hi!!

I have changed the stereo of my Scudo 2012, using a phonocar kit, the 04045, in order to keep the steerwheel controls and the central screen. I have noticed that the parking sensor is not working now. It's nothing I can't live with, with the camera I don't use it, but I don't like letting stuff out of service if it is not too dificult to keep it working.

Does anyone know how can I still use it?

Thanks!

Hello!!

In my Scudo 2012, when you pull the reverse mecanism on the gear lever, it does not come back by itself to the lowest position. Therefore the knob remains in "reverse mode" and  it is very easy to miss the first gear and engage reverse again, That  can be risky if you have someone behind and you are expecting the van to move forward!

I have taken out the gear knob and grease it all a little bit. But it looks like the stiffness is somewhere else, maybe in the spring at the other side of the cable, attached to the gearbox?

Is it easy to get access to that side of the cable? if it is, do you think that is worth it to try to lube it in anyway or should I go straight to installing a new cable?

Thanks!!

Is the number 5 the one I should be looking at?

I think that you might be right.

Everything works again after the key opening (remote is not working). I will make my first try the immobiliser. Thanks!!

Hello!!

I'm new, my name is David, I'm from Madrid, and I'm about to buy a 2012 Scudo. I've been wanting to have one these for years, and I've finally taken the plunge.

The van I have seen is in very good condition, it only has one small fault that the current owner has been living with for years. I wanted to ask you to see if something similar has happened to any of you to try to solve it.

The thing is, when you close the van, if less than 3 minutes pass, everything is normal. But after 3 minutes, something is disconnected which causes the remote closure to not work, and the time and date to go away (I suppose among many other things). You open it with the key in the lock and it starts perfectly. Absolutely everything works afterwards. Also, curiously, radio memories are not lost.

It doesn't seem like a battery problem to me, because it starts without problems, but the truth is that it seems a bit of a weird failiure to me, and I don't know where I could start to look. Does anything occur to you?

Thank you!
