Oil stick Impossible angle

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I went for an oil change on my Scudo, and I broke the oil stick tip, because of the impossible angle the stick has to go through with the air intake in the middle

I bought a new one, and I took the air intake out, but I find it such a pain in the ass to take the box out everytime I want to check the oil level.

Do you guys have a tip for me to check the oil without making such a weird angle with the stick?

I was thinking about drilling a whole on the air intake, just over the oil stick. And put some kind of rubber plug on the new hole. But before drilling over my possibilities I wanted to ask you for a better solution.

Thanks!!

Re: Oil stick Impossible angle

Yes, same happened with me. It's a typical poor design for servicing feature. I think it will be fine with a new stick, but the plastic gets brittle as it ages, and is prone to breaking. After saying that, the head of new stick pulled off almost right away.
Looks like a good solution anyway.
