Great tip on mcd's etc.. We have phones and an Ipad - I'm on 3 which does free data in some European countries I think...?

I have a tarp - A heavy khaki waxed cotton one (10 x 6 ft)+ adjustable poles, and if you look closely at the picture above you'll see the d-shackles I use to attach it to the rack. not had it on properly but a few test runs seem to prove that it works in theory.

Spain is kinda an optional extra so haven't thought much. we did think that having San Sebastian as an aim would be a good idea as we both like good food (although I expect we'll find plenty of that anyway!)

I'm not that interested in foreign wild camping as I wouldn't know the rules or if someone breaks in etc... maybe once I'm there and speak to a few people I'll decide to.

Hotels are a must but we need cheap ones! and good sites? I was thinking of hostels with private rooms.

Were staying in a hotel in Amsterdam leaving Van at a park and ride...

but love the coast road idea - I'm going to try to avoid motorways the whole way round.

Not far off finishing now - quick picture of outside - hard to see but I have an ex-military storage box on the roof (thought it looked cooler than a roofbox)

also note the bad tint job on rear window - this is going to be seen too soon!

I just hope our pounds are still going to be worth something in the summer - maybe we'll have to shorten our planned time to 4 weeks...

The cooler is halfords own brand (I had £35 of shopping vouchers from a survey I did so was limited)

I have considered that I may not have use for the coolbox but I factored the space in when building, so might as well give it a go! But am planning on buying ice rather then relying on the 12v thing.

Waa! Ok I'll look into it then - I would struggle moving all the work I've done into another van as it's based around the particular wheelchair conversion.

This was my thinking - I am going to have a leaf table style square of worktop on the end (behind the passenger seat) that can fold down and under that is where the coolbox will live - so if I don't use it I haven't wasted storage room and if I do we can rejig things if we need to accomodate 4 people sitting...

Its in the links on here somwhere - theres 2 that are similar designs to each other, thats where I got the idea from.

Havnt thought about treating yet - It's possible, but i like the raw wood.

It is probably heavier than it needs to be but the pine (from an old ikea shelving unit) is very lightweight, and the cases arn't bad either. the base thats bolted to the floor is the heaviest part as its 18mm ply
