I think you should be able to tell this from the connector at the back of your stereo.

The ISO connector in Tiree's original post shows what wires go where in the connector.

Whatever cables are in B5 and B7 should be positive, B6 and B8 are negative.

Definitely worth getting right as you say cos bass response will be affected if the speakers are out of phase 

I'd like a wiring diagram for my Dispatch too right enough! Anyone?
