Thanks for that
Good point about knowing the time - I'd have to ask other passing motorists, but it'd be worth the hassle
Electric windows - blimey, that'd be a bit posh - my van must be some sort of top-of-the-line luxury model, as it has aircon - I just don't dare turn it on for fear it'll explode or something...
Hello,
did the mk 1 facelift dispatch ever have an instrument binnacle with a tachometer fitted?
I've been looking around for a while, but I'm starting to think there isn't one.
A giant clock is all very useful, but I'd much rather have a rev counter...
Thanks for any info
Hello,
is anybody able to go over the sequence for replacing the radiator in an '06 Dispatch, please?
Do I take the front-end off and get it out that way or do I have to remove the fans and remove it via the engine bay?
Thanks for any advice
Thanks for that - that's certainly a tonne of info!
I hope the sensor drive gear hasn't failed - it's "great scrapheap in the sky" for my van if that's happened!
All the best
Mine also did this until I loosened off the bolts holding the top latch to the van, shifted it out a little bit and re-tightened it. I think my doors were just on the edge of catching on the upper latch and, as it unlatched, it caused the bottom latch to let go, too.
Anyway, I adjusted the top latch over a year ago and the doors have never come open again since.
Hello,
I see this is a common fault and, although the last thread on here is asking the same question, I didn't want to hijack it with my question.
I've got an '06 plate HDI 2.0 Dispatch and I have the same fault, where the speedo intermittently drops to zero and then stays there. When its registering zero, the van also runs "lumpily" (it "kangaroos") at low speed and with my foot of the accelerator.
I've replaced the gearbox sensor, but this made no difference.
I've connected up to the diagnostics socket, but there are no faults logged and I can't get any live data to come up.
Can anybody tell me if the ECU gets a speed feed from the gearbox sensor or the binnacle?
My van's not got ABS, but I see some people saying there's a speed pick-up there, too - is this in addition to the gearbox sensor?
Thanks for any help you're able to put my way
