Hi my van was a little hard to start a few mornings ago but after a few turns it was ok and drove as normal. After driving for around 20 minutes I stalled at traffic lights, it took over 10 minutes to restart even though it was fully up to temp. 10 minutes later I pulled up and turned the engine off, 15 minutes after it wouldn't start again but fired straight up after a very short push. I completed my journey and parked up for several hours when I returned it took 20 minutes or so to start again. Drove home with no issues, however it wouldn't start again the following day or since. I've charged the battery fully and still doesn't start, after turning over for 10 minutes black smoke comes from the exhaust. 1.9 2006.

Anyone got any ideas? Could it be one of the engine sensors or something more serious?

#3 Re: Maintenance » Can't change blower fan speed. Where does this wire go? » 2019-01-05 02:23:40

I had the same sort of problem, I tried all sorts with no joy. I gave up trying to fix it the conventional way, so I bypassed the resistors and heater control and wired the blower direct to a switch/battery, putting a fuse inline. So now when I hit the switch the blower comes on full. Problem solved

Please someone help!!!!
I have a 1.9 2006 Expert, it runs okay although mpg could be better. The heater always blows cold, so I changed the thermostat today and still no different, I topped up the water level and drove around for a while hoping the blower would warm up... it didn’t! When I parked up I could hear a hissing so after investigating I found that water was squirting out from somewhere behind the back of my engine.
Anyone have any ideas??

Hi I have a Citroen 1.9 Dispatch 2006,
When I’m driving I can feel a sort of pulsing from the engine, I’m also getting really poor MPG too. I’ve just swapped from a Peugeot Expert that is 4 years older and twice as many miles, I was getting between 60-70 miles for every £10 of Diesel.
I expected the newer van with half the mileage to be better on Diesel, however I’m not even getting 50 miles for every £10 of Diesel, I drive mainly around town and stupidly slow lol. Would the poor MPG have anything to do with the pulsing??

Mangozapp you're a genius!!! Lol. I've actually bought a multimeter just to help me out with the electrics on this van. So following your advice I had a reason to get it out of the box.. I checked the voltage of the new van running and got a reading of 12.4v wasn't too sure if this was correct so I fired up my old damaged Expert and got a reading of over 14v. So I'm guessing you're right and my alternator is on its way out? Will swap it over tomorrow and keep you posted.

Thanks for your advice

Hi Bob, just checked and the rear lights are the same fitting on my 03 & 06. My lenses don't have any holes in them although the N/S has a couple of hairline cracks on the lower return, the O/S has a couple of faint surface scratches and a very slight hairline crack.. Hardly noticeable. I can post them both to you for £15 inc delivery.
Regards.

Thank you all for your advice, the locks on the old van work however they can be opened with any key or object that fits in the lock. I've ordered a full set of locks of eBay, I think that will solve the problem. I'm far more concerned with the electrical issues... Bloody hate electrics

Hi all, I have been driving my 03 Expert for years been such a reliable van. Sadly a couple of weeks ago I hit the tail end of a wagon and damaged the N/S front. Found it hard to find replacement parts so I've got myself a Dispatch.

So if anyone is looking for parts let me know, the van is dark blue with the full electrical pack.

Not sure where to start? I've just bought Dispatch 2006 1.9 and obviously didn't check it out properly before handing over my hard earned.

Issues I have..

Interior light wasn't working until this evening when all of a sudden every time I used my indicators the interior light flashed in time with the indicator

The fan blower wasn't working so I pulled every fuse and inspected.. All good. A couple of days ago the blower started blowing cold on full. Wont turn off with controls and also doesn't blow hot air.. Just cold.

Some of the dash indicator lights I.e glow plugs etc don't illuminate

Central locking doesn't work, although I'm not too sure if the van has C/L

All door locks just spin when trying to lock, having to lock individually from the inside and get out through the rear door.. Having to leave the rear unlocked

I have checked the fuses, connectors and they all look good, I would be really grateful for any advice. Thanks in advance
