Thanks, I don’t intend to log that much weight around at all expect yours may be taking more weight than mine. Love the colour!
I often worry myself about tyre pressures.
I have 16 inch alfa Romeo alloys,
I run around 35psi all round, although I do have some weight in the back with the camper conversion.
So you run 40 In the rear?
Does it affect ride comfort at all?
Hi out of interest what tyres are you running on your 16inch Alfa alloys I’ve just got a pair of 16s myself and need to decide on a tyre. Was thinking a 94xl seeing as I have a 900 with a 2330 gross weight?
Don’t suppose you could send me a couple pictures? Thanks, sounds promising
I’ve seen a few similar topics but I can find nothing anywhere which gives clear answers.. my steel 15inch rims with 2015/65/15 tyres are haggered and a set of 16inch Alfa 147/57 rims are available to me cheap (the round hole ones). I would have to shod them with 205/55/16 tyres I presume, both to fit under the arches without any modification and to keep the speedo etc in Sinc but these are a few questions that are stopping me from doing it until I have answers. 2005 900HDI Expert by the way.
Load bearing.. does anyone know what that is on these alfa wheels? I never use the van to get anywhere near 900kg but am dubious of any possible issues or dangers envolving this I know load especially in the front wheels under braking can dramatically be increased.
Presuming these wheels (which I’ve seen in a number of vans) have a lower load weight and the fact that I would have to fit car tyres to them and not the C rates van tyres that were on the original steelies, how does this effect an MOT test and insurance? Would it fail because of this?
Sorry if this post has been over done but would like some clarification, especially from the people who have them fitted and there experiences, if all else fails I suppose I’ve got no other option but to get the paint out and get rubbing down and spraying those steels.
Thanks
Hi, I know the front headlights are different from an 03 to an 05 but the rear units are the same aren’t they? I’ve got an 05 expert in need of both rear units (without cracks) if you have them going? If so what would you want posted?
