Just seen this on Wiki so maybe.....

They share mechanicals and body structure with the Sevel Nord Eurovans minivans: the Citroën Evasion (Synergie), Fiat Ulysse, Lancia Zeta, and Peugeot 806.

Just got a letter through the post Done for speeding  sad   61mph in a 60mph BUT of course I should of been doing 50 in a Van. Now i know it's my fault i didn't know that was the law but i do feel hard done by. Driving since 1990, never had so much as a parking ticket until this. I never go above 60(61) bloody anywhere in this Van. Absolutely gutted.
I've seen in the small print that Vans derived from a Car chassis & have a maximum laden weight of 2 tonnes can drive the same as car speed limits.
Now I use mine as a Day Van so no weight in it. Can I argue that the Expert is built on the 806? I mean it is Identical bar windows yet a Ford Escort for example looks nothing like an Escort.
Be grateful for any info or if anyway one has had this happen to them.

Hi Vaz, Yes i'm pleased it's sorted. Went to sleep(didn't get much) thinking I might need a new pump! In the pic I uploaded you can actually just make out the torx outline.
Chewing ginger snaps  lol

#30 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-20 13:35:48

How long do you think it's been off there?  yikes  Good you got a spare

#31 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-20 11:57:50

Well it's nice to be right for once cool  The threaded 'thing' is held in there by a T40 Torx bolt. Which I found when I drained all diesel out of the hole and shone a Torch into it. It was loose and so the whole thing was moving even when banjo union and bolt was tight in the thread. All sorted now. Thankfully I don't need a new pump (yet!)
2 new washers ordered.  smile

#32 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-20 00:57:46

Its not a hole with a thread as it turns and I am able to tighten it a little with my finger.

#33 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-20 00:44:57

Thanks for your reply Vaz. If you look at the last photo I uploaded you'll see the banjo removed. In the pump is a threaded Collar/sleeve? Sorry I don't know what it's called. The bolt goes through the banjo and into this. This threaded 'sleeve' inside the Pump feels loose. When I tighten the bolt through the banjo into it the bolt is tight but the collar/sleeve still has movement/play. I am wondering how that threaded part inside the pump is fitted.
Sorry Vaz, I don't know the technical terms but hopefully that makes more sense?  hmm

#34 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-19 14:37:49

Really struggling with this. Have ordered a couple more washers but I did find a mild steel one and just tried it for now. There is no leaks but it still feels loose. Not the banjo bolt but what ever the bolt screws into still turns. It's looks like some kind of liner and this has movement. Not sure if the 'liner' is screwed in or what. If anyone has a knackered or spare pump sitting around and could  just take a look to see how that 'liner' is fitted and if there's any way to tighten it I'd be very grateful.

#36 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-18 22:47:24

Thanks mate. Would the washer that fits beneath the banjo be the same as the one I have on the top for reference?

#37 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-18 22:25:38

I see what you mean hmm  Just been Looking at the pics of mine on page 1 on this thread before I removed it & it I can't see one on it so I'm guessing it was missing and not that I lost it when I removed it. Do we have the same pump? I can't see a number on mine.

#38 Re: Camper Conversions » My very basic Stealth Van » 2020-03-18 09:46:19

Hi Griffin, The green one is a great fit and I think I prefer the idea of one attaching at the rear doors more. I was just planning on getting something like this
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-DISP … SwmY1dUGDA
I too insulated everywhere with adhesive foam panels before carpeting and found we were much warmer than in my old Camper with windows all over it.
We also enjoy the Privacy that you don't get with a Windowed Van. Have you considered fitting a Skylight? That's an interesting idea re painting panels to look like windows.

Found this site is good for parts/diagrams. https://injectionpumps.co.uk/  Just got to find a part number on my pump! From what I can work out looking at Banjo Bolts on there it doesn't look like there are any crush washers for them.

#40 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-17 11:32:22

Thanks Fellas. I'll have to see if I can get hold of a Pump diagram somewhere.

#41 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-16 14:05:49

There is a collar/ sleeve? with a thread I got it finger tight and then put the banjo back and tightened bolt. It's not moving now. Hopefully that's okay. I'm guessing it is supposed to tighten along with the bolt? But wasn't.IMG_20200316_122230870.jpeg

#42 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-16 13:10:31

Thanks Casper. I have no idea to be honest. I'll take another look.

#43 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-16 12:45:57

Spoke too soon. Went out this morning and wouldn't start. Tried priming it and fuel was leaking out of the primer quite bad. So I guess the seals had gone in it. Probably all the over enthusiastic pumping these past few days.
I'd only fitted the new Purflux housing lid as i'd cracked original and Chinese copy wouldn't seal. So I've just fitted the whole Purflux housing. seems okay so far also fitted new feed pipe I'd bought.
Before tightening the pipe up at the pump end I primed it till fuel came out to bleed it. Tightened it back up and starts fine. My only worry is this bolt & Union are tight but the whole thing moves around a bit. Before I changed the pipe  I'm sure it didn't move. Is this normal? IMG_20200316_112015212.jpeg

Just want to thank you all for your help and advice. Got her going yesterday and took her for a 15 mile test with no problems. No lasting damage and no leaks(so far) Don't think I would of been able to do it without your help.
I've binned the cheap Copy fuel housing lid. It just wouldn't seal/seat properly. Total waste of money and plastic. Another bit of cheap Chinese cr*p for the landfill!

Oh I've let this slip..so many things to reply to smile
Thanks for all your feedback.
I'm still not sure about Windows. My Last Van was a Talbot Express purpose build Camper with windows everywhere. I found I tended to have a lot of the curtains closed most of the time anyway unless I was somewhere lovely & quiet. If I'm parked up somewhere peaceful in the Expert and weather permitting I can just open a Side door. I don't think I'd have them in the back doors but could go for one on the side  like Ken has and Casper had. A bit scared of cutting holes in doors though. I did want a skylight but I can't trust myself to cut a hole in the roof!
I've never used Campsites in any of my Vans. I like to find Solitary spots and quiet car parks. I feel less Conspicuous like this. I was somewhere recently parked up where Campervans weren't allowed to stay overnight but mine was fine and I was left alone. Like someone mentioned it's a Constant process and in 6 months I might have windows everywhere!
Would love to change the double seat for a single but that is only in my capabilities if the holes in the floor are the same. Would love Swivel seats.
Good to know that bulkhead on the floor will come out. I've been looking at it but I'm just not mechanically minded and wasn't sure if it was important lol. Will it just unbolt?
I tell you what I have found really useful... fitting Wind deflectors. It means I can have both side windows open a bit regardless of weather and it stops the condensation and allows me to have a brew without worrying about ventilation. Only thing I found is I had to buy extra clips to fit them as you only get 4 and it's not enough to secure them properly.
The brackets I used to make the tables are really cheap https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2Pcs-Heavy-D … 3759216494?  Used an old chopping board for one and a bit of ply for the other.
Well thanks again for all your comments. It's great to be able to share ideas.

Only bought it in January. It had been used for moving Motorcycles about and previous owner had it for 12 years.
Since January I've insulated & carpeted it. Made a few cubby holes and Fold down tables for little stove etc. I'm in two minds whether to put windows in the back as I quite like being cocooned and also shows no sign of being a little Camper. Have decided to just use fold out foam beds instead of fixed rock & roll as we have a huge Akita/Gsd cross who takes up a lot of floor space.
Quite like the idea of an awning though. Wife is considering making something to fit over rear doors when both open.IMG_20200314_151707621_HDR.jpegIMG_20200314_151747244_HDR.jpegIMG_20200314_151816537.jpegIMG_20200314_151834763_HDR.jpeg

Nice one. I much prefer them like that to the standard size ones.

Love the Van....and the Rottie! smile  Lost my Girl a year ago. Miss her everyday.
I will have to give that Hydra stuff a go. What's the difference between the DW8 & 8B?

#49 Re: Camper Conversions » Rutland Water is nice this weekend » 2020-03-13 19:18:50

Keep meaning to visit Rutland Water as not far from me. Did you fit that side window in your van Ken?

#50 Re: Maintenance » Diesel leaking pipe » 2020-03-13 19:15:29

90  yikes  Blimey! Downhill? To be honest I've never tried but I can't see mine doing it on a flat road. The thing I find with them is the time it takes to wind them up. tickle the brakes and you lose all momentum lol.
I love Convoys. Had a 2.5 6 wheel ex Minibus done up as a Camper for a while. Only got rid as I moved somewhere with really limited roadside parking. I liked the Pilot I had but to be honest there didn't seem to be a lot more usable space then there is in the Expert. Had no end of grief with Kingpins and Clutch forks on that.
90 mph.....no wonder you're only getting 35mpg  wink  Have you done any tweaks apart from egr?  I know there was a tweak you could do on Nissan Vanette/Cub pumps to get a bit more out of them
