Top idea lincolnexpert I’ll do the same! I’ve only been in the UK for a few years (From Australia. I lived there since 1987) I had no idea about this!! It’s mad!!

Unless i am blind that stereo advert does not say how many watt per Chanel. Does it tell you on the box?

The install is a easy enough, it’s a straight fit. Only peculiar thing is, on the ISO plug, Citroen have swapped the permanent live with the ignition live. So you’ll have to swap that over or it always forgets your stations and the time!
The reverse camera was a separate buy, think it was a tenner. It’s easy to wire in, drop me a line if you need a tip

Finally got around to chopping up some uni strut and getting the passenger seat in. The basket under the frame made it very tricky to wire, but got there. Treated her to a new gearknob and boot too. Also installed a new stereo and a reverse camera.

You didn't mention all the complaints about rust and swearing at those bolts that go through the floor! You must've had a better time than I did
No I didn’t haha!! Two of them we’re Horrendous!!! Wouldn’t shift past a certain point and I lost a lot of skin! You could here my disconnect for miles around!! 
All done now, with a dollop of grease!!

Not a great deal to report, but I’ve got the driver’s seat in and the frames made up for the rear benching. 
Was planning to finish the benching today but had one too many red wines last night!!
Now planning a trip through France when she’s finished. Any tips would be appreciated!

Cheap option first. Take the EGR out and clean it as well as the intake manifold. My thinking is as the EGR allegedly only works in low revs and when you de accelerate or just start to give it beans again it opens and spits through all the built up carbon shit. This gets regurgitated through the engine giving you a big puff of soot.
Thanks Casper, sounds like a good first option. What you’ve described is very much in line with the symptoms. I’ll give it a shot.

Hi all
Had the van a good few weeks now and around town it’s great. Just had a trip on the motorway and noticed a decent bit of smoke. It happens when I’ve been off the accelerator then give it some herbs again. So that’s riding 5th gear down a hill or same if I dip the clutch and let her idle.
Soon as I hit the gas again there’s a puff of smoke, then she’s fine again.
She’s a 2004 1.9 non turbo
Any thoughts?

AB_70, my old van was a 53 plate, not sure if that makes much difference
I like the seats you've gone for they will look nice in there. I've a set of 207cc leather seats I'm currently in the process of fitting to my current van, a 2009 expert.

A set of those flat alloy washers and those wobbly wheel bolts...........
Would that do the trick.............It's getting a long way for a short cut I know...........
I also like those seats you've got for van {What they out of ?} unless you already have one a single seat subframe is needed for install.........
It'll lift the interior of Van quite a bit are you for fitting a swivel base also.............Don't forget some photos....
Show us what you did and how you got onI've been making some little efforts to clean the fabric of both front seats.............

Apologies for the tardy response. Sadly, I didn't do sufficient homework and the stud pattern was incorrect for my '04 Dispatch. Just sold on eBay (at a £20 loss, ouch, lesson learned ) They're off to a new home in South Wales, a 2008 high roof Scudo.
I'd have loved a swivel base, but none (well, none reasonably priced, were out there) but I've opted to get some steel sub-frames engineered, I took the sensible route there ) Just waiting on them, pics to follow. Oh they're from an XF Jaguar, very comfy!
On another note, I'm just putting in some design work for the back, optimising the space for a camper. Nothing too radical, no sink / cooking. I'l post pics of progress over the next few weeks.

Hi AB_70, Welcome along to the forum.
I put a set of alloys from a 807, straight swap from memory and I got the wheel nuts in with the wheels when I purchased them from ebay. It's been a while since then and I've swapped van as well.

I wouldn't have thought a larger center bore a great issue (better than too small)..............
But if it's about centering the wheel while bolting up you can get plastic press fit spigot rings for that very job..............
and yes I've found out the wheel bolt size for a Van is .......... M14 x 1.5 .....

I looked at the Peugeot wheels when I was looking for wheels. That is why I went Alfa wheels as a straight fit with the same bolts.
From previous experience I think the Peugeot wheels should bolt straight on but with the appropriate bolts that should come with the wheels/Peugeot. A funny flat bolt with washers on. Think most Peugeot’s of that time with alloy wheels fitted used these bolts. But the steel wheeled Peugeot’s come with a normal cone/tappered bolt.

What year is your van? I’ve just realised something else, the 407 centres bore is 10mm bigger than the van’s so its a non starter.
Looks like Alfa wheels are the go. Mine seems to have 14mm studs too and I’m told standard is 12mm so that has me stumped too.

I did buy a set of the flat Peugeot studs but they’re a smaller gauge. Other option is to use long thread versions of the Dispatch nuts. I know the seating on the rim will be different, but with five studs correctly tightened I. An see there being an issue. I’ll sit on it for now, I’ve got some leather seats from an XF Jaguar, that’s this weekend’s project.
I’ll see if I can post a pic of how she will look when I work out the 407 wheel issue. That said there’s some nice black alloys from a 157 Alfa on eBay!

Hi All
New to the forum, just bought an ex plasterer’s 2004 Dispatch with 94k miles on the clock. Going to be my lockdown project!
I’ve seen on the forum 407 alloys fit, so bought myself a set form eBay. The stud pattern lines up fine, but the lugs are a slightly bigger gauge than the rim. That, and the rim likes a flat bed stud rather than countersunk.
I’ve got a few ideas flying around, but hoped someone can steer me right. Any help appreciated, looking forward to getting them on!
