Insurance who are you with and are they ok  and how mutch ?   as the ones i am with are being rite b****ds  i missed one direct debit and they  doubled my monthly premium for this month(so called fee) and said if i dont pay it by next week they will  cancel and charge me a further £60 + the rest of the premium! Dial Direct
ps  stating that you on Stat sick pay after a heart attack & bypass dosent cut with them either

I would go with the full 807 seats and bases   as they are the same base  vehicle   lots of pics on the furgovw site of mk2 conversions

A long time  i left mine for months  when i had my heart attack and bypass  , its an oil  unlike  petrol  , just fire it up now and again, have you priced up an engine?

#88 Re: General Discussion » project » 2016-07-14 21:14:21

From a ex 2cv nutters point of veiw  they are still my dream van  but sadly out of my reach out (silly prices)  if look at them closley you realize how far advanced they where compared to the rest of the world  (so was the 2cv)

I liked the Commers too but they used to rot badly as most did back then, and you could work on the engine quite easly(upside down that is)

#94 Re: Camper Conversions » My diy Citroen Dispatch conversion - so far » 2016-07-05 23:23:29

You have a smart looking van there  the wheels make a big difference ,  mine still looks like a WAV from the outside

I had these priorities when figuring out my basic lay out ,
1 sleep one with bike (Inflatible canoe !) in and able to cook ,
2. sleep two ,
3.seat two comfortably and cook at the same time .
4 lots of storage
one  person can stay in bed and cook while the other sits in a swivel seat
also access the stove from backdoor

I have a cool  sticker on my two back doors" Keep Clear  Disable Access"   monkey

#99 Re: General Discussion » Sun screens » 2016-07-04 22:42:32

I haven't had them for this van  but had them for the vw  worked fine ,
the trouble with this set for me is that i will still nead another six of them  2 rear 4 side
