5w40 is generally specced  for 2.0 Hdi's after about 2004. So should be absolutely fine.

The missing tin plate is common to all the xud engines, so get one from a scrapyard.
BX, ZX, 306, 205 , Berlingo Xantia etc etc

Take a 13 and 16mm , Citroen  tend not to use 14,
16mm , commonly used on M10 where 17 would be more usual.

Its on top of the gearbox close to the clutch operating arm. Usually a white plug.

#80 Re: Maintenance » Injector failure? » 2018-05-21 23:40:52

The 1.9 uses a mechanical injection system , so to find out which injector has failed  simply loosen the 17mm injector pipe union (nut) on each injector until it doesn't run any worse. That injector is the duff one. . Its like pulling  plug leads off ....... the cylinder with the duff plug  doesnt run any worse when you take the lead off.  A diesel specialist will rebuild the injector for a more reasonable price than buying a new one.

If you have a leak try the area around the exhauster pump, ( opposite end of the cam from the drive) , it's afairly common place for oil leaks.

Please , please, don't re-use the washer. It is described in the post as a crush washer, and so it is, like a washer on a spark plug , once it has been used once, it will never seal as well again. They are like 50p retail to buy. The size is 14x20x2   , the same size fits the sump. If you re-use them they always drip, just enough to be annoying, but not enough to bother re-doing the job..............
