A simple and basic conversion as with all my previous vans.. with a fold away stove/table the bed boards slide forward and hang by a cords
all made from scrapped packing crates

I have just spent 8 days touring , Loch Maree Skye, Plockton . Glencoe with canoe and bike
Dont think it would have been as conformable without the swivel seats they really opend up the whole van space almost as much room as in the backmy old T25
Mine is the DW8 too I have had enough of fly by wire in the past A bit under powered on the steep passes but in no hurry on holls
Cruise at 60 all day with good mpg
thats the one is it working?
Its a DW8 1.9 non turbo Same as mine but with some electronic gubbings as added to later engines
i found this thread that might be of use , this engine was used in lots of different models so lots of info out there

Sounds like you have a 1.9 HDI you need to get it plugged in a read for fault codes
the ECU controls the injection timing , a heavy diesel sounds like its running a little advanced
if this is your engine it is a HDI

if not and it has a turbo then it will be XUD engine
hope this makes sense to you

ps I hate fly by wire car/vans that is why I got the 1.9d a bit guttless but honest and basic
there should be only two wires to a diesel engine !
check all your fuses including the ones under the bonnet,
with glow plugs in pugs/citroens if a plug burns out the resistance drops so the relay cuts the power to them, temp gauge might be just a fuse or the temp sender either way simple fix
also if you van is a hdi dont bother with glow plugs you wont nead them in this climate with a direct injection engine
hope this helps
just a link here from a spanish site showing fitting some swivel bases and if you scroll down fitting 806/synergie seats and it is as simple as the photos suggest
you can also see the gap in the mat where the bulkhead was
Mine didnt have the little bulkhead but they are not structual and are held in with a few spot welds and mostly seam sealer, and yes they do make the van more user friendly with a walk through between the seats
the guy this guy did the same and had to remove bulkhead

the keys spin because they are worn , its a common fault you can get full sets on ebay
i would check the fuses for your dash high beam light
by the way im 6.2 and have plenty of room!
Spent a week in mine up Scotland last sept
I have just swapped over to swivel seats today , I got got a pair of rough ones from a 806 for 50 quid
they are a straight swap
top tips , spray the outside bolts on the bases with wd40 you can get at them through the sill as these will be rusty
If not on level ground put in gear and chock the wheels before you unbolt the handbrake lever
I dident!!
make shure you have the necessary tools especially a t55 torx I dident expect the large bolts in the seatbelt corners
They also ride alittle higher than the scudo ones i would use the floor mounting spacers that come with the seats and not the scudo ones or non at all.
took me about 3hours
Get a pair they are worth doing
I had on of these engines in Ulysee and a VW tdi in my VW t25
i have learned my lesson with fly by wire engines,
should only have one wire going to a diesel thats to the fuel solenoid on the pump
I ripped all the electro babble out of the TDIthat was in my old T25(non commonrail) and fitted a mechanical pump ,one wire only
ran sweet once set up ok
Thats why when going for one of these vans i went for the early dw8 1.9 d with just the immobilizer before they messed about with it and fitted more electro gubbings
somtimes i miss the power of a electronic direct injected engine
But rather have a engine that has less to go wrong and dont need to plug in
i have found these on fleabay too far for me to travel they will bolt straight in maby be useful to someone else on here

there is a E7 taxi breaker on ebay they will have one or two
I just found this pic of my van camped overnight in the far north by a loch
shows my basic layout but rushed for my mates wedding in plockton. the stove folds up out of the way ive done this with all my vans as i need room for bikes and running gear
I am going to fit some c8 seats there are plenty about ,hopfully will be picking a pair up on sat
i just did a basic conversion to get a mates wedding in Plockton but will keep the same layout as it creates more storage space (but have to tidy up a get rid of bodges ) will post pics soon
I have now a immaculate bench seat for sale!
here is a good blog, Mine is an ex WAV too

has anyone one on here fitted 807/c8/ mk2 ulysses seats in on of our vans? I know that the 806/synergie / mk 1 Ulysees fit ok
Or maby a Galaxy seat?

I have put it up as a torrent info hash 9F5E420EC2C4A3D457916C6E1E921900FC473CAB
or you can download it bit by bit here
http://www.fiatforum.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=22
i cant get it down to a manageable size to email
I am compressing it down to 40mb as a winrar file i will email to you just un zip and either burn too cd or run off your comp
well i have downloaded it ! it was 158 mb in total
it is the fiat techicnal service manual covers all the engines bodywork electrics steering
it is by no means comprehensive(like a Bentley manual) but very usefull
it is in PDF format and runs out of your browser
I am in th process of downloading one from another forum
in 10mb sections will bungle as one file
give me a shout i might be able to email it
It is also worth googling Jumpy cama/ scudo cama and expert plus do the same with Evasion. 806, ulysee
you will probably end up a furgovw site(a great spanish site) which caters for all types of van conversions
there is some really good ideas on there
