Yes bud, I've got this £3 dimmer coming, if it ever comes lol - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Inline-M … 2793182284

Whilst my shed does not start at the moment, I bought a set of these for £4.50 - Well worth the cash for some cheap light in your van... (seem to be Samsung branded);

to be honest i think irs air and crap starter, when i skoosh in easy start it coughs then bogs/slows, sounds like it wants to go though, seems like starter cannot cope with compression /the fire??

Hi Guys,

Thanks or replying, it turns out I was changing the advanced whats it solenoid instead of the fuel cut off/immobiliser one,  after trying all sorts and then ignoring the van for a few days as it was annoying me, I set back to it tonight and have replaced said fuel cut off solenoid after some faffing, can anyone please advise where best to get the 12v feed for this, reversing light switch? lol Also have a new TPS and Fuel Advance solenoid so I'm hoping once it has a 12v feed, I can prime the bulb, crack injector 4 and turn her over... expecting some fuel!

Some pics attached of said bodge...

Hope someone can help please, I think the stop solanoid on my 04 1.9d dispatch has had it, van wont start and its getting hot - I see there is a bodge that you can remove the top of it, but how? Please see pic.mini_chrome_2019-08-01_13-43-51.jpeg

I did test with 12v and while there is a click nothing moves. :-/

Thanks in advance,
Stu.

Thanks for this Griff.... Aside of the TPS issue I didn't get home till 4am as I think the stop sonenoid has gone, was driving fine, stopped to top up diesel, would not start again, turns over fine, glows getting 12v etc,  the stop solenoid was very very hot (identified by the AA after I waited 3 hours on them), ah the joys of french and their crap electrics, I've been spoiled by my old VW's it seems, I forgot how temperamental french stuff could be!

Sorry to hear bud sad - In my experience when a bottom end goes you don't really hear it on idle when its just the start of the issue and usually engine needs to be between say 1500-2500k revs, although may be different on these engine, I've also seen injector failure cause a similar issue - maybe worth a look?
