Hi everyone! Brand new to this forum. Just bought a camper-conversion 2004 Peugeot Expert, 1.9L diesel. Just getting a feel for the van right now, but after a very drafty drive noticed that the passenger sliding door isn't sealing properly. After inspection, it appears the sliding door locator is broken and the corresponding guide is missing... Could this be responsible for the door not sitting flush? There also appears to be a hook missing to hold the door in place at the mid point, which I'm assuming could also be responsible?
I'm struggling to find where I can buy this hook online - my ebay skills seem to be failing me. Could anyone provide a link, or a photo of what this hook should look like so I can find a part that fits?
Thanks, very excited to get involved in this community

Hello and welcome Lewis.
Replacing the broken locator and it's guide will help a lot but probably not resolve all. They are notoriously prone to draughts and usualy lift at speed.
The locators are usualy listed on ebay but watch out for useless plastic ones. They should be cast metal. There are a few listed at the moment but it's difficult to be sure of material. I would ask seller before ordering. Search for - Genuine Peugeot Expert Fiat Scudo Citroen Dispatch Sliding Door Locator + Guide
The middle latch which appears to be missing it's hook, is I think only used on central locking models. (?) No front central latch on either of the early mk 1 doors I swapped last week.
Edit... just notice from your pic that the broken locator looks to be tapered from both sides. The metal ones on mine are more of a one sided wedge shape at the end rather than the arrow point on yours. Stronger and more effective I think.
Edit. .. also noticed what looks like central locking sprung contacts on bottom of your door. So my idea on that was wrong. Who knows why the B pillar has an obvious middle catch spot welded on but nothing to latch into it?

Hi, and welcome.
There was a thread about the hook a few years ago https://dispatchexpertscudo.org.uk/foru … php?id=120
The guide & locator will help, but the most effective thing I found was to stick 9mm draft excluder tape to the edge of the door.
If you want some guides, you will find them in the bottom of the pillar - I think found about 6

Thank you both for your replies! I won't worry too much about the hook then. I was only curious in case it was partly responsible for the draught! I can only find plastic guide & locators, so will buy those and see how long it lasts while looking for a metal one
Will definitely look into draught excluder tape!

When i had my camper i sealed shut the door behind the drivers as the wall was getting used as storage. If you take out the seat belt roll up at the bottom and take away the bit trim you can get your hand in to retrieve your old guides as 9 times out of 10 they get pushed in.

Well what do you know! Having looked at my door I too am missing the door locator receptacle at the top on drivers side! Maybe why it isn’t as tight as the passenger side and leaks ever so slightly in heavy rain! Also thanks tee_cee for link to Caspers post. Very interesting, will have to look out for them there hooks!
