Brake Shoes

Before i hit the crap sites like Eurocarparts is all rear shoes the same part through the 1.9 range. Mine grind now and its getting loud big_smile

One thing to check before you do, hold your handbrake on for a bit and see if it's just crap in your drums. Saved me from buying new ones.

Not sure if they're the same part but I know my DW8 1.9 had different *front* brakes to my XUD 1.9TD. Think the drums were the same though. Just put a couple of reg numbers in ECP and see if it offers the same part number

Cheers Ken. Euro scam parts wanted 72 quid for there cheapest rubbish before attempting a code. Was a tad miffed so went for a cheap seat of QH Shoes what i have used before in a 306 and found them OK

Fitting them yourself? I did them once in February with very cold hands and a lot of swearing. I was very pleased I did it, swore to never do it again

I have an Alan (Pavement Mechanic) who is time served but would rather work alone and only £15 PH. We do a lot of work barter as i do gardening so will probably end up doing his garden while he fits the shoes.  lol
