You know the plastic part in the front of the clocks. Mines sits hight, look at this
See how the idiot lights bottom row is starting to be hidden. This is an old picture and its now worse. Should there be something pulling it down? I had it out today and the clocks look like the are sitting correct but i feel there should be an upper screw as well as the two lowers but i cant see what it should screw into. There is a couple of cm gap at the top so i am thinking something is missing inside the dash itself. The shroud is three screws on the air vent and two at the upper front of the clocks. Is it just bending up with age?

There is one lower screw located above the ignition cowling on the right hand side, awkward to get to so probably wasn't replaced last time it was removed

I dont remember seeing anything a screw would go into but its coming out again soon when i get to the bottom of another problem.
Anyone know how to fix the dim mile counter problem. It looks ok in that picture ^^ but its way much dimmer now. I had the blue and yellow block connectors out and cleaned but still no joy. Is this a simple bulb problem or dying LCD's?

Doesn't sound like a dying LCD mate, i think the numbers would have segments missing or none at all in my experience

Aye suppose you are right. Ill dick about with the bulbs and see if anything changes as i would presume they are all the same wattage so can be swapped about. Lights on or off it very faint but it would seem a common problem when you look at some of the vans for sale.

Mine is staying like that. There is something missing for this bottom screw to go into and the tip middle one for the clocks also there is something missing as the hole on the clocks is a good 1cm or more away from the top of the dash.

Your right whats going on here....I had the shroud out early on this year (I think) when I changed some dash bulbs for heater control, was no need for shroud to come off but I'd noticed that face vent was not sitting right and in service history that Dealer had changed dash bulbs
So when I was at it I had things to bits and put it back together with a bit more care it seems than the apprentice down the Dealers did.
I did find one or two missing screws or screwed into spire clips but not holding anything, face vent not connected to fresh air flow pipe properly and this is Dealer documented for changing dash bulbs PPPPPFFFFFFFT
Had a look yesterday and "A good 1cm gap" clocks binnacle from shroud all way round...... Is there something missing they've not put back or is it just shi** wheelie bin plastics that nearly fit. ??
I dear say it's no great shakes, I had never really noticed the motor drives and goes just as good as before and they are commercial VAN based........
But FFS
