Re: New owner

Hi, I did look at the side windows designed for this van, and although they look nice on the outside the actual window area from the inside was quite small. In the nd I went for dometic windows, which have built in fly screen and blind and because they open out, rather than slide, you can leave them open in the rain. Expensive & tricky to fit but definitely worth it.

Re: New owner

Are those frames curved tee_cee or are they let into the door?

The windows are designed for 25mm thick flat surfaces, so it takes a bit of work getting them into a curved door. To add to the problem the edges of the door are folded over on the inside, which interferes with the wooden frame. The wooden frame also needs to be curved slightly top to bottom. When the two halves of the window are screwed together, with some mastic seal, I was left with a gap at the top and bottom on the outside, which was then filled with sikaflex. After 2 years it all seems stable enough.

The original glass I was looking at was at http://leisurevehiclewindows.co.uk/peug … -2007-swb/ which will be much cheaper and easier to fit - looking at it now it looks like it's about the same size as my windows!!

I agree with you on how deceptively small the see through bit on those windows is, it's a shame isn't it!
