Does anyone know can I fit an independent fuel gauge in and wire it back to the tank sender so bypassing the dash fuel gauge as mine is playing up sometimes I have to tap the gauge to get it to work
Thanks

Probably, mines was very inaccurate untl it had 3 or 4 full tanks in it, eventually when it was down at 1/4 it would not drop straight off the end and the light come on lol, try putting some injecor cleaner in the tank, tesco has redex at £2 at the mo

I'm not saying it can't be gauge........
But an accuracy discussion about gauges on here prior Revealed some interesting results I thought ..............
Like it seemed to be almost Universal that Vans go further on first half of tank and then it drops quickly ...{very in some cases ... Mine seems to go from half to empty in about 70 or 100 miles but pushing 500 or so on first half}
It's always been like that [so has my 306 ... optimistic till it starts moving] but Van was about 10 years old when I got it [306 was 11 years old at time of purchase and almost another 11yrs I've still got it ] ......................
I felt at first the clue was in the name i.e. "GAUGE" ...............
And my Van having a binnicle change didn't help behaviour ... Which is still possible............
But then it started appearing that some Vehicles were having wiring issues..........
Where broken wires had stopped readings in it's tracks obviously ...............
But on repair ... Cleaning up wires to re-connect found them to be rotten under sheathing and it would have given gauge wrong information ..............
It also appears in these cases after repairs, tidying up and replacement of cruddy wires ...............
Normality resumed .............
Although I've wondered if thats my my issue on both Vehicles ... I've Just lived with it so far ..............
[On one Spannish trip fill to the brim I did almost 200 miles before gauge moved on 306 ... but it did a smidge over 700 miles before being filled again ..I can't remember if it's Low fuel light may have come on ... I think it's got a 60L tank]

No good to you whatsoever but i did it with my last Convoy. You just need the van wire diagram and plumb in three wires.
