Did something with that Central blanked bit
That blanked off void in the dashboard is now in use...

The switch in red connects to a relay fed from the electric windows line at the fuse box (permanently live).
The relay then powers the usb and also a 3-way cigarette lighter socket which hides under the 'airbag tray' on the passenger side (I prised it up/broke some plastic tabs)

Nice job, I fitted a small voltmeter in mine, might fit a USB now

Oh nice, I was looking at how to take that out. Can you see a way without breaking it?
