2009 Dispatch glovebox won't open

Hello everyone, I'm now the proud owner of a 2009 Dispatch 6 seater that I'm in the process of converting and I've got an issue with my glovebox.
The handle is minus its lock, but appears to be working otherwise. When you pull it you can feel it attempt to unlatch and the glovebox door drops forward ever so slightly but doesn't open.
I've scrabbled around in the footwell trying to see of there is anything I can hook and I've tried levering the door slightly but not enough to damage the door or the fascia.
The fact that it appears to be unlatching makes me think that something might be stopping it fully unlatching and I was hoping someone might know the secret to getting it open.

If it's the same as earlier ones,. there is a catch at both ends.  Sounds like one side of yours is not unlatching.   Can't remember if the connection is cable or rod but it has probably broken or disconnected.

I remember a thread recently about.them, might be something there to help you get in.
